Lynn, That is SO pretty! I'm so far behind on the BOM projects, but love those that have been posted here. I need to lock myself in the sewing room and get busy!!

Each one posted here looks so nice, I agree with Chris--when I can settle a little and do some sewing, this one has some possibilities. Thanks for posting, everyone.

Got the May 'extras' done (well 'extra #2 doesn't have a border because I intend to make it queen size, obviously I'll have to cut a few more strips!) Showing them together and then close-ups. 3" blocks are amazing when you get lots together aren't they?! (also put a white border around the 'cinnamon bun' quilt--does make it nicer)

Sally, I really like extra #2. Thank is charming. Guess Ihaven't looked at the pattern well enough to see that is in there. Or is that your creation?
I'm still trying to get to the sew room so I can finish the border on Feb and get the star centers cut for April and then get the stars sewn together and the borders on. My goal is to get these two things done before I receive the June pattern. Guess I got to get movin'.
Thanks for sharing.
Anyone else have any of the earlier patterns done? Pictures, pictures, pictures--they are always an inspiration.............

Hi Carol,
Sorry, #2 isn't in the pattern. El did include a rail fence on a seperate sheet but after making rail fence strips from the left overs from the cinnamon buns, I cut 2 or 3 3 "1/2 squares and still had left overs, so I cut those into 1 1/2" segments, had to make a few of the strips with dark in center but twice as many with dark on outside--lots of 9 patches (got around 35 9 patches after making all the rail fence blocks which I stopped at a 6 X 10 lay-out. Now I only had this many because I cut 80 strips to start with so I could make honey bun bigger!
The pattern for #2 I just figured out. There's a similar one hanging in the classroom at Quilt in a Day and I've always loved it. You just add a bunch of HSTs and a few triangle in a square blocks (all at 3" finished, of course.) It's really impressive with the HST and triangle in a square in red and white, but I just don't have enough red 30s, but LOTS of blue, so I used blue. The one on the wall also has prairie points for binding--I probably won't go there, it take sooooo much fabric!

Sally, I really like that second one!!! It sort of looks like you have curves, but you really don't. Very cool optical illusion. I haven't tried to make a triangle in a square before. Is it tricky?

Not tricky, or at least it's easy with El's ruler! She has a ruler for 3 or 4" (finished" blocks. Piece of cake. (also useful for making the fish block on her free patters and makes a wonderful star....)

Could someone give me the yardages for the April quilt? I have the turnovers and plan on buying the pattern when it becomes available. I would like to have the yardages so I can purchase the fabrics when I find a bargin.
