Webwitch.....I really like them with black background. And I really like the mirror image quilt. It makes the whirlis stand out a little better, doesn't look so busy.

I think that we have 8 days until the next block party. darn that March for having all those days more than february!!!!!!!!!!!

I, too, was not at all sure what to say to El when I met her, sitting in the booth, like a customer, not the Queen of Quilting. But we started talking about the StripTzz, they were hanging in the booth. I did ask her if the april one was ready and she said she had jus been working on it. It uses turnovers and she said it makes "like a star". I'm eager to see it and eager to hear Sally's description.

I always thought a turnover was five in squares cut on the diagonal. I looked at some and learned that's not quite correct--6 inch squares cut on the diagonal!

Thanks for the inspiration, webwitch, and for reminding me that that's why I joined the StripTzz, to learn new techniques and try new things--so I WILL go to work and make Feb and March patterns. It always amazes me how nice things looks after they become a reality.

Happy sewing everyone, wouldn't it be fun if a lot of us got our quilts done so that we could have a "Forum Quilter's" Display next year in Paducah AND Lancaster--yes, the show will be in Lancaster for at least the next 2 years. The dates are already set for next year--can't remember the exact, but it's the week before it was this year in March 2011. Maybe, just maybe, QIAD will have a meet and greet since they'll have more time to plan it, woulnd't that be great!

Thank you for all of the compliments, guess they just are not to my taste. I've found that no matter how bad they look when you close you eyes and snuggle into them they become the most beautiful quilt in the world! I can say with certainty that my Chihuahua's have never complained!!! LOL
