Oh, Ann, I LOVE this quilt!! It is beautiful! And I truly believe that Paul was right!! The red is PERFECT!! My DH, if I ask him will help with "what color next??" I trust Earl's judgement, even if I don't always agree with it!! lol! Because he has always been right!

Thanks for sharing the story of the fabric! I LOVE those "unexpected" things in a quilt...it makes it so interesting!!

Edit to add: Why not make pillowdases out of the extra fabric?? How cool that would be!!

Love the scraps! Love the red!!! That's funny about the fabric! If you look at it in the mirror, is it correct??? Maybe it's a magic quilt--the magic is in the mirror Wouldn't the children love that!!! Unfortunately, my DH is color blind to red-green-brown, so he wouldn't be much help. THank you for posting such a beautiful quilt!!!

Joanne - That's exactly what I was thinking! I think I WILL make pillowcases of the extra fabric. Maybe with a scrappy border?

This is beautiful, a real eye popper and your hubby was right on with the red. Not to sound like an idiot, but where did the pattern come from? Like Debbie said, it will have to go on my someday list.
