Message To All
I am in Houston and it is a Show like no other. Els booth seems to be quite busy today. I just wanted to post to let everyone know as it seems that not all of you are aware of this: Any person or group anywhere in the World that wants to purchase El's books, are welcome to do the contents in them as they choose. As a Swap, Sew Along, whatever, If they ALL "Purchase" her books. That is not stealing in any way shape or fashion. The Member that has been accusing others of doing this knows who she is and she might want to refrain from doing so from this point further. We all have Els books and not only this forum do her patterns. I know of 2 forums that I have enjoyed watching them do the UGRR this year. It is not stealing in any way as each member bought the UGRR book. So the accusations of thieving needs to stop!

Cathy...glad you are having a blast in Houston!
The same rules apply for all patterns and books by ANY DESIGNER as long as everyone has the pattern you can do swaps, classes and sew-alongs. It is wonderful to see what everyone makes from the came pattern!

Hi Cathy,
Glad you're having a good time in Houston. Did you take pictures???
Thank you for the "heads up". I have most of El's books (even one of the original Log Cabin from the 80's). Other forums I'm in do not share patterns, either. If one wants to join, they must buy the pattern/book. Ok, I'm off my soap box, so back to quilting.
