OCTOBER STASHBUSTERS!!!!
Sorry to be late with the post.... Seems like I'm running behind this week on everything.
Goals for the month:
Make some "necktie" purses
More grocery bags

Re: OCTOBER STASHBUSTERS!!!!
More of the same.
Keep up with the Sylvia's Bridal Sampler BOW
Finish hand quilting the last two blocks of my nephew's quilt
Finish my DWR
Finish those quilt instructions
If possible start hand quilting the DWR
machine quilt the borders of my nephew's quilt
ideally make 4 make-up SBS blocks
My hand/wrist has started giving me trouble, so who know how much I'll really get done.

Re: OCTOBER STASHBUSTERS!!!!
Sept., will you post a photo when you get a necktie purse finished? I'd love to see it!
How's your Sylvia's Bridal Quilt coming, Knitnoid? I was thinking the other day about that but couldn't remember who was doing it!
My plans for October are to keep sewing Christmas items for my daughter's bazaar. Placemats, tablerunners, candlemats, pot holders, etc. But come November - I hope to get back to my own projects!

Re: OCTOBER STASHBUSTERS!!!!
Thanks for asking, purrfect-lady. Since I'm only doing these one block a week and I didn't participate for nearly 2 years (this project started Jan 07), I only have 37 of the 140 blocks done. Starting this month I plan to go back and start picking up some of the blocks I've missed.

Knitnoid - where are you getting the instructions for the Sampler quilt. That is really pretty. Might like to try it myself. Valerie

The patterns for Syliva's Bridal Sampler are in Jennifer Chiaverini's pattern book "Sylvia's Bridal; Sampler from Elm Creek Quilts. It's published by C&T Publishing.

Re: OCTOBER STASHBUSTERS!!!!
Is anyone working on their projects? This thread fell to page 2!
About all I can claim on my list is I've kept up with this month's BOW. Oh, and I've finished one more block on my nephew's quilt. Just one more to go and I can pull it off the frame.
This month I've got sidetracked by another of my UFOs. But tonight I finished sewing the center together on it and it just needs the borders. Now I need to get my rear in gear and finish my DWR.
I want to get the backing fabric for my DWR during my LQS's semi-annual bolt sale, but before I can buy it, I've got to figure out how big the top will be. So, this weekend, I'll be working on my DWR (and the SBS block due Sunday).

Re: OCTOBER STASHBUSTERS!!!!
The month is over and my to do list didn't get much crossed off.
Kept up with the SBS BOW.
Made 1 extra SBS block (not including 2 I made for a swap)
Quilted 1 1/3 of the remaining 2 blocks on my nephews quilt.
finished piecing the arcs for my DWR -- but did not get the last two rows attached.
Turned in the instructions for the smaller quilt. Still need to finish the instructions for the larger quilt.
Also made a pineapple block to try out a new-to-me technique, and finished the center of a quilt I started back in May or June.
