Pattern for a scarf...

Post by Stargatefan »

I am looking for a pattern for a scarf for a friend who has cancer and is losing her hair. Her daughter is giving her a scarf/hat party to lift her spirits and I wanted to make something not only pretty but maybe a couple that are seasonal. Thanks!

Hi Stargatefan I have seen free scarf patterns on the sewing with Nancy web sight. I think it's Sewing With Nancy.com. I hope this helps. I also purchased a quilting book called Quilters Think Pink that has other things to make for folks with cancer it includes quilts, a journal cover, shawls and slippers. It contains 16 patterns all together.

This darn thing is saying i already posted this but i am going to try again. I am only typing this to add something at the beginning.I believe Bev's Country Cottage web site also has sewn hats. She has alot of other needlework patterns. Just checked she does have hats that are sewn. http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/cancercaps.html It is a very good web for charity giving. Hope this helps you. Brenda

Do you want a pattern to sew or one to knit/crochet?

You're right - I should have been more specific and I apologize - I need a sewing pattern. I've come across a few with the help of the two ladies on here already (thank you!) so I'll probably be buying material this week. I just needed something quick since I thought the party was soon.
