It's wonderful!!! Enjoy your treasure!!! I love that style of decal--it looks Egyptian or something. My grandma had a treddle machine, and my mother has it in storage upstairs at her house. I tried to talk her out of it but go nowhere. I learned to sew on a treddle in 7th grade sewing.

That is so pretty. I just wonder how many little girl dress, curtains, quilts, and costumes have been made in its lifetime. If only it could talk.

WOW Denise that machine looks almost exactly like the one I have that was my Grandmother's!! I should check mine out for the date etc. Mine isn't in very good shape does work now, but it was what I first learned to sew on--made a few dresses on it at one time!

Unfortunately is sat in a damp basement for a few years, so the wood is kind of cracked... but it sure looks just like yours! I love my machine mostly because I know my Gramma sewed quilts and clothes for me on when I was a little girl!

Enjoy it!!

Denise - That is a beautiful machine! You are very fortunate to have been given such a treasure! I know you will treasure it too, so it couldn't have been given to a better person.

Denise, it's beautiful! What a treasure! It will look beautiful in your sewing room even if you never use it. :) I like the name you chose for it. Your grandmother would be proud.

Oh I'm jealous! I've never seen a Singer like that. VERY unique, priceless. I have a treadle too and there are ladies in my Guild that use them as a primary machine. Treadleon.org is a great site for treadlers. You came download free manuals to from the links there. I've never pieced a quilt on my treadle but would love to one day. Enjoy your new toy, she a beauty. Amie :o)
