Sugestion for quilt pattern

Hello Quilting Friends. My grandson has requested a black quilt. Does anyone have an idea of what type pattern I could use. I plan to use some reds, in sashing and/or borders. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you!

I think you could use Log Cabin with all black on the dark side and all red as the lights. It would be a stunning quilt. Or have you tried "Day & Night" quilt? It really lends itself to a 2 color quilt with striking results. Also, you could use solid black on the backing fabric to further the design.

Oh, let's see there's the Day and Night, Tossed 9 Patch, SnowBall and yes, the Log Cabin would work too. Good luck. Black and White w/small splash of color (red, green, yellow, blue) is the in thing right now. Let us know what you decide and post your progress.
