Binding

Hi everyone, I bought the scallop templet and I did all the tracing and now it saids I can bind it. Ok now I'm confused!! Umm! Dos'nt say how to do that. I have the binding all ready. Thank you for your help.

If you go to the brown bar at the top of this screen and click on Television and Video. You can watch how Eleanor uses the template. I just finished watching the template video and it looks like she sews down the binding before cutting away the excess batting and backing.

If you have El's Egg Money Quilt Book, it explains completely and easily how to do a scalloped edge. I'd never attempted one before and mine turned out beautifully. I posted a photo of it a few weeks ago in PHOTOS. I hope to do another one soon. maryz

just make sure if you are doing scallops, you use bias binding, not straight of grain binding.

Grammiequilts did an AMAZING scalloped binding on a baby quilt for me. She could probably be a huge help
