Need Jelly Roll Pattern

Post by WeeOne »

I bought a Jelly Roll "Pine Creek Crossing" by Moda.

I have cut the strips in half (about 21"), have put 4 strips together...dark, light, dark, light. I have 19 sets.

Any suggestions what to do with them....any patterns. Maybe this is why I don't "play" with fabric, but have a full plan first!

I have looked at this one:

I'm just not sure.

Do you have QIAD Still Stripping? All patterns use 2 1/2" strips.

If you hadn't already sewn them together, I would have suggested the Double Pinwheel - it uses 2 1/2" strips and once you walk yourself through the instructions one time, it's real easy to do. And the book is on sale!

Here is a link to a pinwheel pattern adapted from QIAD pinwheel. Follow the directions, but use 2 1/2" strips instead. I can't remember if the blocks finish at 7 inches or at 7 1/2 inches. The wider the strip the bigger the block.

Here is a link to Moda's bake shop website. You will find several different patterns here.

Bonnie's Strip Twist is fun and easy to make. In February several people on the quiltville group made this quilt and they all turned out great.
