I have a question. When you added the ones on the back, did you piece it, or are they appliqued to the backing?

Very, very nice...The colors are perfect! I'm sure he loves it...

I think this is one of the best graduation gifts a graduate can get, especially if they're going on to college...I've made one for everyone of our grands that have graduated and it's really neat to visit them at college and actually see that quilt on their bed....Right now I'm working on 1 for my sister who lost her youngest son a year ago...She gave me a very large bag of his tee shirts plus some of his other shirts that I'm going to use as sashing....

Thanks for all your nice comments. Karon - I did applique the ones on the back. I used the blanket stitch on my machine and they look really nice. I did them at an angle so it wouldn't be so obvious if they werent exactly centered.

Chrissy1 asked if they were new shirts. No they weren't, some of them were really worn but before I cut them, I iron medium weight Pellon to the back to give enough body so they don't stretch everywhere when cutting. The ironing & the pellon make them look almost new.

Thanks again, Kristi

I really like the way you did this, in fact when and if I ever make one, this is how I will make it.
