Singer Even Feed Foot

Post by Chrissy1 » Sun Jun 07, 2009 3:25 pm

Recently I purchased a Singer Even Feed Foot becasue the ladies in my quilt class said "I must have one" well I must not as I have no clue how to even use it or what it is for, but that's okay. If anyone is interested in it, it has never been used, I only took it out of the box to look at it. I don't think it is anything I will ever use, if I haven't used it in 61 years. If anyone "must have" one please contact me.

So, did you find out why it is a "must have" or how it is used? Only fits Singer machines?

Well, the concept is that it moves the fabric evenly, both top and bottom. It fits my franklin treadle, and most of my machines.

I leave the even feed foot on my machine for all my piecing, I only take it off for machine quilting.
