Louise's quilt top

My friend Louise found these flying geese patches that her grandmother had made many, many years ago. I designed this top using the patches. It took me quite a while to do the measuring but was quite pleased with the outcome. We worked together on the cutting and I did the sewing. The quilting will be up to her. Hope you enjoy.
(The patches were already in the long strips.)

What a beauty! I just love looking at the different fabrics that are used in scrap quilts from the earlier years. What a treasure she will have when it's finished!

I love the quilt. It is so special to be able to have a family heirloom. I have several that were done by family members from my father's side. Great work!!
