Re: Essential Thread
Cathy, often times when things are special promos, a lot of the phone answering people aren't away of them. As Amie said, it is a special promo from F & P. Sorry, I should have just posted the code, now why didn't I think of that! Thanks for posting it Amie and Eajosian.
It's not automatic, you have to put in that code, FPSHIP, for orders under $50 until 6/15/09. Orders over $50 are automatically given free shipping.
Sorry for the confusing, happy to have "some backup" people and happy for anyone who can take advantage of this offer. carol/kittyquilt

Re: Essential Thread
I have an Essential Thread question too, lol.
Can you use the individual spools on a LA? Yes, I know a cone will last a lot longer but I have a couple of smaller projects that I want to add some color to.
Thanks!

Re: Essential Thread
I gave my BFF the neutral set of Essentials thread and she loves it. So I got myself the set of basic and will be ordering another set or two today. Thanks, girls, for the reminder.

Re: Essential Thread
I should be getting my order of Essentials thread any day now. I ordered two sets - the neutrals and the florals set. I already have the basics set. I really like this thread, too, and talk about a good price!!!

Re: Essential Thread

do you need a bigger spool holder for your machine? the hole in Essential thread is bigger than regular thread.
and the hole in the cone thread is even bigger....

Re: Essential Thread
Good question, Chriss......I have a larger "holder thingy" to put on the end of the thread holder and that works fine. My thread lies down, can't figure out how to use the "stand up holder"......confused 1/3 of c, carol/kittyquilt

Re: Essential Thread
Somewhere I saw a holder for the cone thread that was wooden and the cone was on it's side. Plus, there was a built-in pincusion, too. I should have bought it then, but thought, nah, I don't need another 'fun' quilt thing. @:( On the other hand, anyone with a little carpentry skill could make one!
