Looks like you all had a marvelous time. As pretty as it is in N. CA sometimes I wish I lived a little bit more south so I could go to QIAD. May have to start thinking about a road trip.

And they are standing in from of the True Blue fabric in the group pic! I worked on those table runners last night. Wish I'd paid more attention to how they quilted them. Do you think echo quilting in the blocks of the big one would work? When does Alina move to Arkansas? (Or is she the ones that's moving? Oh, dear, my memory. I thought maybe it was a going away party.)

xteacher, there is nothing wrong withy our memmory. It was indeed a going away party for Alina. but knowing Alina I needed to schedule Alina in when she would have time. (I know she would take time out for me).

xteacher I ded echo quilting straight lines on a small table runner and it does look cute. I posted a picture of it in the photo forum.

Yes Alina is moving, I better not think about that because it'll make me cry. I *miss* her allready but will get to see her one more time before she moves. At he QIAD BOM, Tuesday after QIAD Camp.

Maybe I can meet her in Little Rock sometime. Tell her to check out Blossom Quiltworks in N. Little Rock. My daughter has promised to take me this year, because she is expecting and wants to pick fabrics a quilt for the little guy. I saw your picture, but I couldn't really see the quilting. I was thinking that especially the larger one might look good with echo quilting.

xteacher... I am so sad to tell you Blossom's closed! I lived in North Little Rock for 4 years before we came back to California... it was a terrific store! My sewing buddy back there had to break the news to me... with the economy where it is they decided to be an online only store... ~Sniff~ But I would still like to meet up with ya once I get settled back there! How far are you from LR?

Oh no. Gasp. My daughter told me that most of the shops we had been to in town had closed. They were sewing machine/fabric stores. When did it close? I thought someone said they had been to Blossoms not long ago. There was a real nice shop in Conway where she lives, for about four years, but it closed last year due to health reasons. Two, owned by the same family in Paragould and Jonesboro closed not quite two years ago. (I had just found them, too.) Paducah is about the closest to me now--2 1/2 hours. We'll have to pray they stay open.

Oh, I'm just about as northeast as you can get, but dd lives in Conway.

Oh, I have read there is one in Cabot and dd's friend moved there, so we were going to ask about it. Do you know anything about it?
