i will take a photo of my piece of pie prototype tonight. I found a picture in a coloring book and there are only 3 pieces, but now I think I have figured out how to make it 2 pieces of fabric.

I have fabric, and ideas, but I think I'm going to make my own applique... still have time to hand sew in the evenings with DH.

OK - sign me up - I keep coming back to this and know I will sign up eventually. Sweets are my downfall.

Dear Sweet Lovers,

I'm working on a prototype muffin/cupcake idea. I'll make a sample block and get it posted as soon as I can. I'm working a bunch of overtime right now, and preparing to leave on a vacation with my parents the end of next week. I'll really try to get something before then, but if not, will probably post it in early May.

Checkers, I'm really glad you decided to get in on this!

I have a pie slice done and it is so cute! My daughter has my camera again so I will see if I can scan it. I can sketch a simple slice of cake if someone would like me too.

Oh, Marilynsgrammy, I feel my right arm just being pulled all the way to California. Sssssoooooo, guess if I want to be able to sew anything, I best plead for my arm and then say yes, count me in. BUT, you two C's gotta promise to help if I get stuck and that is a great possibility. Any more ideas you can send my way will be helpful.

I know this will be fun, and I vote for Aug 1 deadline, just a little more "wiggle room". carol/kittyquilt 1/3 C

Carol, we are going to have so much fun on this one.... look in your cook books and trace desserts then cut out the pieces and put them on that iron on stuff that sticks fabric to fabric that I can't think of the name of... it will be fun... would love to find some fabric that looks like cherry pie filling....

think I will look at my own cook books tonight....

Chriss, that's a great idea, but what's a cookbook? Is that something that cooks use, well, I guess that answers it, i'm not a cook! LOL. I was looking at some fabric sites and found some fabric with cherries; however, the cherries still had stems on them. If I could have just figured out howw to get the stems off without leaving a lot of holes, i may have gone for it. well, back to the thinking board!

another idea, how about a "healthy sweet" like maybe grapes or other fruit!!!!!!!!! just a thought, we gotta stay a little good, at least in thought!

have a good and restful night everyone. hugs, carol
