Morelli cutter
Has anyone used one of these? I have seen them online and it looks like a good idea, but I keep thinking if it was such a great idea everybody would already be using one! I also have thought about the Gingher, but from what I read the blade is a big part of what makes tha one better, and I have about 20 new Olfa blades and don't want to waste those.

Sue - are you talking about the Martelli rotary cutter? I have two - a 45mm and 60mm. I love them and will never go back to a straight rotary cutter again. It's ergonomic so I don't have to twist my wrist around to use it. If you use it per the instructions, you will love it and it only took me 10 minutes to get use to it.

I love my Martelli. I only bought the 45mm since you can get blades for that size anywhere. The 60mm you have to buy their replacement blades. (At least that is what the saleslady told me when I bought mine.)

Re: Morelli cutter
Sue, I have one also, and just use whatever blades I have on hand. Someone told me that you have to buy the correct blades for your cutter because other blades will cut a groove in the screw that holds everything together. Well, my thought on that is..... don't push down so hard and maybe the screw that holds things together wasn't all that good in the beginning. I have used olfa and fisker blades in every cutter I own and not had a problem. I am a cheap-o when it comes to blades!!! The 50% off at Jo-anns is the only time I buy blades, then I stock up.
