Tossed nine patch/disappearing nine patch

Are tossed nine patch and disappearing nine patch the same pattern? I am just beginning to get the hang of all of this quilting stuff and loving it but I certainly need guidance and lots of it. Littlbit did an amazing tossed nine patch for a woman's shelter. I love the colors and the pattern. I cut some pieces one day for a disappearing nine patch and sent them to SharonG who turned them into a wonderful charity quilt for her projects. I just could not get the hang of it.

Chrissy, I find there are a lot of blocks/patterns with various names, so it can be confusing to a beginner. Yes, I believe it is the same pattern.....I've also seen it called 9 to 4 which is the name I first knew this pattern by. There are so many ways of setting the blocks and by using fabric choices, you sometimes wouldn't even know they all started out with a 9patch. I appreciate your donation to my project....thank you.
