Morning Lois.
I rolled out of my bed pretty early.
Nice and quiet in our home.
Depending on the weather I want/need to work some more in our back yard.

I'm sure I'll do some more cooking and baking today.
And I'm sure I'll be sewing/quilting today.

Good morning Lois and Ms. T. I was up early but I was just lazy this AM.
I have some errands to do like go to Costco and then Home start my pot of sauce, make meatballs and then I will have the opportunity to do some sewing on the baby quilt for a doctor friend. She is adopting a baby and I have it started.
The rest of the day should be all mine maybe??
Have a wonderful day I am watching the rest of the snow melting. Maybe by the end of the day it will be all gone.

Good morning, been up long enough to do a few chores, now I can sit for a little bit. Hubby wants to go vehicle shopping today, ugh! Yeah, I know, we need to upgrade before he retires in the near future, but not my idea of fun. I just see more bills to pay & less money to play, lol. He wants a small SUV, or a larger cab pickup, new used, hopefully. He has this idea to buy something that will pull a tent trailer, that we don't have yet either. Men & their toys! Course we'll trade my old 85'Buick Century in, to do this, so for the most, when I need to drive, I will be driving this new used whatever, lol. I am just a worry wart, but with us both driving old vehicles, I know it's the right thing to do. He is just a spender though & I see all the work, remodeling mostly, this old house needs, & he has halfway started alot of it, & I think to myself, where is all this money going to come from? Oh well, one day at a time, right!

I have been cutting out squares for three very scrappy I Spy quilts, all for boys, so that has been keeping me busy off & on, that & the much dreaded housework, lol, but gee whiz, somebody has to do it, once in awhile anyway, right! I have a hubby who thinks, because he still works, he shouldn't have to do a thing, & I really mean, a thing, at home, so that doesn't help me staying in a cleaning mood either. Oh well, he is pretty darn good to me otherwise, so complaining about this is like talking to wall with him. So, I do what I can, & what bothers me, & go quilt & forget about the rest! Works for me, for now anyway, lol...

Enjoy your day everyone!

Nancy....

Good Morning everyone! Beautiful day! It's going into the 70's today!! Whoooo Hoooo! And the sun is shining!!
I'm leaving shortly to have my monthly breakfast with my friend, ex-coworker. We meet the first Saturday of the month. She gets to "vent" with me about work and I hear all the news.

It is nice outside this morning. And since I didn't have to go to work today I am going to spend the day cutting blocks. Come to think of it I don't have to go to work again. I lost my job yesterday morning. So now I have to also start looking for a new one. But that can wait until Monday morning. I am going to enjoy this weekend. I haven't had a whole weekend off in about 4 - 5 months.

So I have the iron on and have already ironed a stack of fabric so that I can cut it out. And I am going to put on some old country music and just enjoy the day. I am washing bedclothes today in the hopes of packing some of it away. Now that is getting warm, hopefully I won't need as many on the bed at night.

Don't forget to turn your clocks FORWARD tonight here in the Cincinnati area. So before I lose that hour I am going to get busy.

Have a great day.

Good Morning Everyone,
Once again we early birds are up before the chickens I see. I have been up for a while and finished my tea.

Before I got out of bed I took off the bandage this morning. My eye isn't hurting this morning it just looks a little swollen shut. The doctor said that the swelling was down yesterday and he still hopes to restore the vision. My vision has not yet improved though. I will have another check in three weeks and possibly another shot in four weeks. He tells me something different everytime.

Today I will be doing the laundry and if I can will try to sew some flying geese. I still haven't pressed the tree blocks. I will be taking it easy today.

T - I want to go outside too on these nice days. By the middle of next week it will be in the 70s, won't that be fun!!

Nancy - I do not enjoy vehicle shopping either. I would rather send DH out alone for pre-shopping. He does go online and look at the cars though, so we know where to go to find the car we have chosen. If they get pushy on you tell them you are looking for the vehicle in a color that you know they do not have available. LOL It seems that all the used cars are available in white so if you ask for blue they will leave you alone. They also believe you because women are more interested in color than men are.

Joanne - Hope you enjoyed the breakfast!

Lois - I hope you get all your chores done and can join us sewing!

Have a great day everyone!
Carol

Good Morning Everyone!

I'm UP I'm UP!!! Trying to decide where to start on chores OR if I should just chuck it all and go down and visit my Mommy! Haven't seen her for a few months and I miss her! We're expecting more snow tonite, so I think I'm going to make a dash to visit Mom before the snow hits! Then tonite when I get home I'll be getting things/food ready for a baby shower for DIL tomorrow.

Since yesterday was pay day and there just happens to be a Hancocks fabric store on the way to Mom's... I just might have to stop and look around.. I sure don't NEED more fabric and if I buy any I'll have to hide it from my DD, but there's no harm in looking right?
I just might find something I can't live without!

Well better get butt in gear. Have a wonderful day everybody

Good morning from San Diego!
Be still my heart...DH might be taking the kids out to a friends' for the day. They live out in east county, they have 2 kids that my two like to play with...I could really, REALLY use a day off from "Mama-ing"! I will try not to get too excited until everyone is up. LOL But I am a bit giddy thinking about being able to hang out and maybe do a little shopping ALONE.

Joanne's is definitely on the agenda; I am out of batting, except for scraps. I have also been flirting with the idea of making myself a couple little fun tops to wear to work. We wear lab coats, so any touch of color under all the white is always welcomed.

Now that Mervyn's has gone belly-up, I have been exploring the local Kohl's stores. There are a lot of them in this area. I need a "one-stop" shop for my 3 essentials: jeans, tennies, and bras. I'm not even sure how old my current jeans are...but they have gotten pretty ratty looking. Time to get some fresh ones and reserve the old ones for stomping around the property.

Oh, I am rambling, so I'll sign off and go start my morning routine!
