It's Thurday!

Post by momof6quilts » Thu Mar 05, 2009 12:10 am

Today is grandchildren coming over day. We are doing a science project today, making batteries out of potatoes.

My neighbor is coming this morning to check out pattern and give me money to buy fabric. I'm so excited to have this project to do! She said she would show the quilt off and pass out my flier :-)

Yesterday I got some Birthday blocks made. Now it's pick EVERYTHING up and find a place to "hide" it time. We have church at our house this Sunday.

Have a great day.

Vicky, you are such a cool grandma... always doing something fun with those kids... they will remember it forever... they are blessed.

Debbie, not fair !!! how come you get a long weekend and I don't??? hope your weekend is super fun....

I tried a new purse yesterday..... hated it.... so now I am back to my old purse... my step mom liked the new one so I will swing it by her house this morning on my way to work and leave it for her......

Have the granddaughter this weekend we are going to plan our Disney trip.... and my son will be taking his EMT state test on Saturday and having an interview on Sunday to be seasonal for the Calif. Division of Forestry... I am so dang proud of that kid.... I rarely feel the need to beat him...lol

DH is number 238 or so on the list so he should be going back to work in a couple of months... he got laid off a couple of days ago... which makes me a princess... I don't cook or clean or grocery shop when he is off work...

hope you all have a super day

Good Morning All -
I think I went to bed too early last night. It is just after 5 and I have been up for 30 minutes and I am fully awake! LOL

Yesterday I attempted to embroider a bookmark. I had difficulty with the the thread bunching up and in the end it got off center. Too Bad it was a very cute sewing themed bookmark. I am trying a different one this morning and will make it only two colors. It is stitching the first color (the background) right now.

Chriss - You have a right to be proud of your DS. You will have a fun time planning a trip to Disneyland with your DGD.

Debbie - A three day weekend is good anytime. Is this usual or a special reason? Have a good time!

Vicky - I agree with Debbie, remember where you hide stuff! Have a good time today making batteries with the GK.

Today I have my physical. Later I will clean house and do some of the laundry. Tomorrow I have a shot so I need to get ready.

Brenda - I hope the Doctors find the cause of your vertigo. Prayers are with you today.

Q7 - you will get that embroidery stuff down pat soon. They make it look so easy and flawless on the videos, don't they?

Debbie - I'm jealous of your 3-day weekend!

Momof6 - I can't wait to hear what pattern your customer chooses.

Chriss - enjoy being the princess. I wish I could be a princess.

Jennie - Hi. How have you been?

Brenda - I hope they find out today why your head's been spinning.

I'm at work today. Blah blah blah blah blah. I have lots of running to do after work - the grocery store, Palais Royal for a gift certificate, the pharmacy, and then home to cook dinner and make GP's "Not Yo Mama's Banana Pudding" because we are having out of town guests this weekend. Our BFFs are coming because tomorrow night we are going to the Gaither Homecoming Concert. I can't WAIT. And then Saturday we will hit a quilt shop or two. It's gonna be a great weekend.

I haven't done any sewing at all in almost a week...! My sewing area is a mess. I need to put at least a little time in on getting it functional again. My sanity is wearing thin these days and few things help get me back on track like a day or two of sewing.

I am off work until Tuesday (I only work part time). Have to go in tomorrow to teach a little one-hour seminar, but that's it. My time off goes by so fast...and work days sometimes go so slowly...ain't that the truth?!

Good Morning everyone! Nice today, it's already 50 deg. and DS2 just arrived to get DH and they will cut some wood for awhile today. It would be nicer with a little sun, though!! I just heard the chain saw...they must be cutting up the tree that broke in half during the last wind storm. They've been waiting for some warmer weather and can't wait to do some outdoor stuff!!

Chriss, were you the one that asked me about the Nautical Quilt that I made???

Went to get my check up yesterday so I could get a refill on my RX. My Dr. is Indian and he has an accent and he asked me how I felt. I said "I'm Peachy-Keen"...he just looked kinda funny and said "what?' Now he's been in this country since he was a young man, and he's at least 65, but he probably had never heard that expression!! LOL!

I'm doing laundry and going to the sewing room. BBL!
Ya'll have fun today!!

She picked the Carpenter Star:

But I'm going to add a row to the top and bottom of the star to make it rectangler.

Colors are to be greens and salmon or peach which ever I can find. I told I think peach will be easier to find.

*Smile*

Morning all. I sure have been sleeping better these past few weeks. Guess I'm wearing myself out whenever I can.

*C7* I'll be thinking of you while you're getting your shot.

*CJ* enjoy your time off and get your butt to sit down and sew. It really is a pick-me-upper each day when I get some time in to sew.

Debbie enjoy that long 3 day weekend.

Chris you have a good reason to be proud of your son. Enjoy being treated like a princess.

Jennie, how have you been these days?

CindyG, enjoy that Homecoming concert, it sounds like *Fun*.

Joanne I have send you a ray of sunshine through regular snail mail, so keep your eyes peeled.

Vicky how can you make batteries from potato's?

I'll do a little more quilting on my quilt top today to keep my mind busy.

Jeff leaves work at 1 this afternoon to take me to get my 90 minutes of MRI in. I am SO not looking forward to that. I hope that this is the end of months and months of medical testing they've done on me.

Have a nice day evert 1.
