Morning everyone - wet and overcast here, raining like crazy. It is a good day for naps

The swelling in my jaw is going down so that is a good thing, DD called this morning and her foster agency offered her a three year old boy. She turned them down because she wants a child under 18 months and now she feels terrible. It is difficult to comfort her.

I worked on donation quilts/blankets yesterday and will again today. I need the feeling of completion every once in awhile. Quilts just take forever so I have to give myself a fix every once in awhile.

Anna - I use my mat to square up my blocks. The mat has inch and half inch measurements and that works fine.

Grammie - you had I have the same taste in camping

Rosie - feel better

:)

Grammie, I had to try to cut down on my song birds almost every year. One year I ended up with 40 of them. I always first try to give them to ppl that would like to have one. I have raised cancaries for 10 years now. Some of them I had to hand feed and raise them. There was one year when they suprised me with a VERY early breeding season and eggs were flying left and right, not knowing which dad belonged to which clutch/female. I used tiny insuline syringes without the needle to feed the baby birds.

Keeping a bird room clean can be a LOT of work. I had a seperate room for them with a screen door, so I could hear them everywere in our home. The flight cage is 6 feet tall and 4 feet deep, 6 feet wide.

Now Leo is in that cage at night for now, untill I buy him another cage (Hopefully one that can catch the seed and sunflower huls)

During the day I bring Leo down stairs so he has some company. Last thing I need is a cockatiel that plucks it's own feathers.

I am trying to get a little sewing in today. I might even try to take pepperDawg for a little walk. The sun is trying hard to break through here.

Rosie I am in SE Michigan...I live in New Boston. I love to cook and I love to grill at the campsite....It is not for everyone. I have friends who camp but never cook in the camper. They are able to tell us about every restuarant in the area we camp..and I do mean every one.

T.... Birds are a lot of work, but so pretty....I used to birdie sit my sisters Parakeet Donniebird and he threw stuff all over the place...so I know it is a lot of clean up.

Grammiequilts - I have to work about 12 more yrs. before I can retire. I'll probably be dead by then and won't get to enjoy any retirement at all.

Rosie & Grammie - I cook in the RV but not much. Usually DH grills hamburgers so I do tater tots in the oven or he grills steaks and I do baked potatoes in the microwave. Most of the time we have muffins or cinnamon rolls for breakfast (no cooking) and just snack around for lunch (again, no cooking). And then sometimes we go about 10 miles down the road to a restaurant for dinner. DH w ill cook a big breakfast if the mood strikes us.

OK I just heard from my doctor and I have one of the worst sleep apneas she has ever seen. Explains why I am so freaking tired all the time. Out of 6092 breaths I snored 5672 of them. I had 368 breaths where the oxygen saturation was less than 93%, 13 breaths were less than 88% and 2 breaths were less than 80%.

So I have an appointment with the sleep clinic on March 11th. Are we having fun yet????

Good Wednesday evening. I hope all of you have had a great day. I have been off work today and am quilting on a king size Dresden Plate that is for my daughter for Christmas 2009. I am almost 1/4 done. I will be making a Double Wedding Ring from "Mossy Oak" fabric for my son for Christmas. I really want to give all four of my grown kids a quilt for Christmas.

Have a great rest of the evening.

Sandy those breathing machines are quiet and more comfortable then they used to be but you will have to get used to it.

Sandy you will be amazed at how good you will feel during the day after you get started on the sleep machine. When you have sleep apnea, even though you are not waking up, your sleep is interrupted and you never get into your REM sleep so you are not getting your good sleep.

The Dr. even told me most people lose weight after they get it, but that did not work for me.

Wow, that would be great to lose some weight. The doctor said my heart has to work really hard because my lungs are not getting the oxygen they need. I am looking forward to it.

WOW Sandy. You probably will feel more rested if they put you on a machine. I know my DH has sleep apnea. He quits breathing alot during the night. I wonder if I have it. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
