I forgot my dentist doesn't work on Mondays, darn guess I have to wait until tomorrow.....

BarbieJean- here ya go this is what I have found so far
http://www.embroiderydesigns.com/freeem ... signs.aspx

http://www.annthegran.com/FreeDesigns.a ... 5067&fdp=1 This one is subscription based, good price though 24.99 for three months

http://www.embroiderydk.com/ This one is a subscription as well and I signed up for this one last night. Spent a couple hours looking at and downloading designs I like this one because it goes right into your design library. Some of the designs are zipped and you have to unzip them, figure out where the design went and drag the design where it should be. Thus the hair tearing yesterday.....

Hi all. Been lurking the past couple of days, not much quilting getting done.

DH's grandfather passed away last night. We may be going to South Carolina for a few days to be with his mom. I've been working on a quilt for her today. Hopefully I can get it done by this weekend so we can take it to her if we get to go(depends on if he can get leave or not)

Sandy, Thank you for the sites. One that I really like and the designs are very reasonable is Embroidery Library. www.emblibrary.com Also, Buzz tools has a lot of free designs available.

JW sorry for the loss of DH granddad, Prayers for you and your family.

The embroidery girls...try abc embroidery some cute patterns.

I was going to go to the book store to find some reading for my trip but I haven't read a book in so long that I'm not sure what to look for. Any one have some good reading. I haven't read any of the quilters books but I have to see what is at the used book store. I rarely pay over 2 bucks for used books. I am going to look for the one about the cat in the library...I have to go back some threads and find it. I like light reading nothing heavy. well back to sewing will be back

jw so sorry to hear of the loss in your family

I just got a call from my sister her DIL's Mother died this morning as a result of an abscessed tooth. She was 54. My nephew and his family are stationed in Japan so this will be a difficult trip to arrange.

My FIL was to have leads adjusted on his defibrillator this morning but instead they found a blockage in his heart and had to do a procedure to unblock the vein and the other procedure is on hold. He is still in ICU

I am exhausted
back later

Good evening all....Just checking in from Florida where there hasn't been rain for weeks...It's been perfect for me but they sure do need the rain...I talked to DH, who is still in Pa., and it's darn cold and snowy...I felt a little guilty telling him, I'm in shorts and barefeet..But, he'll be here next week to enjoy some warm, sunny weather.....
I've been having so much fun with my friend, running hither and yon...We did Meals on Wheels this morning and then the car just had to stop at a couple of shops...After lunch, book in hand, I went to the pool....I'm really getting spoiled.....
Enjoy the rest of the evening, everyone.....

Hi! I'm missing you gals! I was so bummed at my DH this weekend that I didn't do anything but mope!

I'm sorry to hear about all the loses today...JW be careful driving, and Sewcarolyn you have a lot of stress...my prayers are with you both.

Sewcarolyn, those gratifying days are wonderful, and sometimes hard to come by. I had three of my students (all IEPs) get suspended three days from finals week because they ditch class so much. They make me crazy sometimes! Although, I can concentrate on other kiddos on my caseload when three are out for a few days....lol

So, I joined the ugly swap and don't know what to make? I only know how to sew kids clothes and quilt tops....any suggestions?

Good Afternoon Everyone!
JW - I am so sorry on the loss of your Grandfather.

Carolyn - so sorry to hear about your loss as well.

Grammie - Dewey the Library Cat was written by Vicki Myron. I have a hold in the L.A. Library system. They have 23 copies of large type and I was 33 on the list. (They also have regular type and those are also all a wait list.)
