The Pioneer Sampler book. I want to make a Kentucky Chain quilt for my bed(after I finish some of the other stuff I have started) and I want to make the sampler too. I've wanted it for almost 6 months and we haven't been able to afford it. I'm so glad I got it!

JW - That looks like fun. I watch the videos on QNN and have watched some of them. I will go back and look up the Kentucky Chain Block.
Grammie - All I got was the advertisement for Vimeo. I guess the video still isn't ready. It is 3:15 here in California so it may not be ready today.
I think I will go for a walk!

Vivian, how thoughtful of your doctor to remember you and ask about your leg.
Val, I think it would be a lot of fun to all get together... we just need to find a central place, meet, have lunch and shop.... sounds like a wonderful day to me.... of course there is always the quilt show in Santa Clara I think it is in November??? I'll have to check.
Thankyou Maryq... on the way home from work as I watched 10... yes 10 highway patrol cars, with one person in each car, head down the hill I was thinking what this must have cost... 10 peoples wages ( I am thankful they are working) 10 cars full of gas at 2.48 a gallon, and a multitude of speeders, drunk drivers etc on other highways that needed the attention.... I am very very glad your DD is going to a "step up" doctor, I pray it works and that she is made all better...
Judi, you are funny... a wire thingy is broken so your car doesn't work... it reminds me of a cartoon where the lady tells the person her car won't work because the license plate is croocked...lol... thanks for the box... I am sure Marilyn will love it... you are too thoughtful.
Joanne, I pray grammie doesn't get the windows started... ugh... that would be awful....oh gosh, she already has the vinegar water and rags ready... run for the hills....
JW, can't wait to see the finished quilt.. and I am glad your son likes school work....
hey Q7... we have March Madness up here... we would love to have your gang meet with our gang and shop till we drop...lol...
ok, gotta stop here and go back and read about boys peeing on cheerios... I sat for a boy who took off his clothes, straddled the toilet and hung onto the lid... he never made a mess...but it was so funny.

Hey Chriss, I said ready not washing them...here in Michigan you would freeze to death if you tried to wash windows now.....And if you all remember I did a very thorough job last fall so it will be easy to take out the storm windows and just clean the dirty sides and put the screens in. It is much worse in the fall. I promise not to start for awhile....It is still winter....

Re: wednesday 2/18
you ladies have had a roaring time today ...dead skin cells and washing windows...hmmm
GP-my Dad passed away 2/1/2000 and you know not a day goes by that I don't miss him. It took me over a year before I could talk about him without tearing up and I would get upset because my sister could. Time softens the loss but we always will be Daddy's Girl. It does knock the wind out of us but I know that he is watching over all of us. ((hugs)) and wrap yourself in that quilt you made him that he loved so much.
Tonight John is teaching at the University so it is just Spike, Mouse and Cricket home with me for dinner. I think I will re-heat something and curl up with the novel I am reading by Elizabeth George. Reading and sewing are so soothing.
be back later
oh and my FIL is still in the hospital but he looked better this afternoon. Hopefully he will be out of ICU tomorrow

Re: wednesday 2/18
Good evening ladies,
Seems like everyone was here today! Darn it, I was at work. I'm watching the game shows (Jeopardy nut) then will either watch Ghost Hunters or sew. Ghosts may win.
Joanne - We fuss over who's mopping, it's usually him. I had a friend who had a horrible odor in her kitchen and realized it was her floor. Mine's never been that bad. Sticky, maybe; smelly, no.
JW - I never heard of the Cheerio thing. Hope it works. DEX was very reticent discussing anything personal w/ our son. No reason, just weird. That was one thing I couldn't teach him. However, the babysitter's hubby taught him to do it in a coffee can, then from a stool so it worked. I got stuck w/ everything else. Oh, the tales you will have to tell. This was the same child who named my rubber tree Trojan. GP, we can compare notes in Paducah.
Viv - The handicap sticker makes a big difference. Even w/ the weight loss, my knees still give me fits and I have trouble walking distances. Also, use the power carts in stores.
GP and JW, there are some things that will stay w/ you always. I wasn't close to my parents, but I live with my son's death daily. You learn to cope and to live as they would want you to. Ergo, I am probably enjoying life more than ever because he truly loved life.
Jeopardy's on. Priorities you know.
Rosie
