Here we go swapping again! Be creative and make a pillowcase for a friend. Some of the suggestions have been to swap a pair of pillowcases or a single pillow case. I will be willing to set swappers up to do either a pair or single case.

I want people to be creative and title your case(s) just like you would a quilt. I will hold a contest for the titles and the winners in each of the categories (to be determined later) will get a special gift from me.

SIGN UPS WILL END 3/1 AND I WILL SEND YOU INFORMATION ON WHO YOU WILL SEW A CASE(s) FOR BY 3/2. Mail it out so they will receive the Cases by 4/20

I would also like for you to give me some information to share with your secret pillow pal. In a few words share something you would like your pal to know about you. ORIGINAL POST: We have done totes and I think in the past there was an apron swap...but how about pillowcases.
The simple little pillowcase with the French Seam or serged seam is easy and they are so cute.
I made 4 for Valentines Day gifts and that got me to thinking about swapping pillowcases.....with a twist....you would have to be creative with the name of your pillowcase and sew a label with it's name on the inside.
Like this...I made John a Valentine's Day Pillow case with hot peppers on it...His is "Hot and Spicy" , Izzy got one with tiny cupcakes for "sweet dreams" Julia (a Peace Studies Major) got one covered in Peace Symbols for "Peaceful Dreams" I also made a couple with Fortune Cookies on them for upcoming Finals week gifts for my college girls...wishing them "Good Fortune" on their finals or maybe I will write a specific fortune for the label

I was thinking a 1-1 swap so we are only making 1 for 1 partner that way it could be made with that person in mind. I would toss the partners up so you wouldn't know who had your name until you received the pillowcase

This sounds like a fun swap and if you are going to do a 1-1 swap, maybe we could make 2 pillowcases. That way your fellow swapper would have 2 matching just in case they wanted to use them.

Sounds like fun - but does someone have directions for the french seams I have done them before on totes, but can't remember exactly what I did and the dumb old serger of mine has seen much better days. Yes I would like to swap pillowcases - sounds like fun especially trying to name them.
