Me and Debbie - Wonder news. (I will say my thanksgiving for you both.)

JW - I bend a lot of needles too. I did find that the ones made in England are a lot stronger than those made in China.

Joanne - It is nice to have you back with us, but I haven't heard your report on the big excursion. Do tell where you went for lunch. Did you get to any quilt stores?

Good evening all looks like good news all the way around....Everyone who got good news Thank God...
I just got home from friends...Dh had some work to do so we called it an early evening.
I am now watching the Hockey game.
Tell me what kind of scissors you all have..I have bought all kinds and they just don't seem to be sharp enough...I have 50% off on sunday for Joanns and I might have to use it to buy a new pair.BBL

grammiequilts-I have a pair of Gingher's that I just love. I only use them for fabric and thread(and DH knows if he touches them he gets hurt!) My mom had a pair of Ginghers the entire time I was growing up, she had to sharpen them a few times but never had to replace them.

Both the embroidery scissors I have are Gingher. I love both of them. I have had one for more than 20 years and it is still a favorite. It is all stainless. I bought another pair last year with black handles and it is sooo sharp I have cut my hand a coupld of times. I say buy the Gingher!

I do own Fiscars Sewing Scissors (7" maybe) it is sharp and I like it but it is not as sharp as those little Ginghers! It also is bulky. If I need to cut through a coupld of seams it certainly is my choice, but I do not own a large enough Gingher.

I hope our comments help.

Sandy I am loving my machine and I know you will love yours too. I haven't really been able to do much embroidery but I have done a little and it is really fun. In between working my 2 jobs and getting regular projects done there just isn't enough hours in the day to really get down and dirty with doing embroidery but one day soon.

Tomorrow I go see an ENT. I hope to find out if they can do something about the vertigo I get every week.

i love Gingher's too my aunt bought me my first pair when I was 13 (oh a couple of years ago) I have had them sharpened a couple of times they are fantastic...and they are fabric only! I bought Julia her pair when she was 13 or 14 and she is very possessive about her. They are wonderful and worth the cost.

Brenda - Prayers that the ENT finds the reason for the vertigo.

Rosie - You definitely have a KEEPER. Wow, what a nice surprise!
