Well, I finally got an idea about what to do with Carolyn's piggie fabric, went and got some more cotton to go with it (that green is not easy to match), and now I have to go out of town for four and a half days and have to wait till I get back to make it. I leave tomorrow afternoon to fly to Utah to visit one daughter, then borrow her car to drive to Idaho to pick up her sister from college, drive back to Utah (return the car), and take Amtrak to go home. Lots and lots of miles to go before I can play with the piggies. But at least I have a PLAN............

P.S. If my envelope from Carolyn doesn't arrive before I leave for the airport, I will make sure DD#2 gets on Skype with her brothers at home and have them open it and show it to me. (Skype is coooooool.)

Sue..Happy Belated B-day!!! I'm happy you enjoyed opening your package. And let me say for the record your workmanship on my ugly was outstanding..trust me girls..the pictures didn't do them justice. I can't believe we made each other a journal..it must have been one of those "great minds think alike things"(LOL). Everything I did was a first time effort and little projects I'd been wanting to do-except the bobbin holder-that was a happy accident. I was just happy the journal cover fit. Once started I couldn't stop til there wasn't a scrap left that could be sewn, glued, or ironed on. Snoopy did the angel pin and wrist pin cushion. I had the best time doing your uglies!!!

ps..My Ugly basket is by my machine with all my most used items..I just love it. Had to hide my colored pencils and someone ate my chocolate and won't fess up:)

donna....I have some hand sewing to do on the 2nd project...wish I could have got it to you before your trip. But now knowing you travel to visit kiddos I have a 3rd idea. Hmm...an idea for the piggies...I have more fabric if you'd like it

I will take my time hand sewing because I already broke a needle on my machine when I tried to sew through all of the layers

Here is a picture of what Lucy made for Sharon.... I believe the yellow fabric was the ugly....

this is a very nice table runner.... funny how they both picked the same thing to make eachother...
