Vivian, sounds like you found a perfect machine.. how fun can't wait to see her first project...

WE, do the scouts cook the breakfast? what a great fund raiser for them, everyone has to eat after church....

quitlnewby, I have high hopes too, maybe we will both get a lot done...

Judi, enjoy your baby shower....

Mary Margaret, when my son was little we went bowling and used bumpers in the gutters... he still beat me....but it really is fun...

Bransmom, I envy you getting to hold a little baby... give Sarah a squeeze for me...

James wife, don't know what flippy corners are but am anxious to see your quilt top.

Lyn, sorry about the alligators... some things just have to wait.

my plan is to sew today... DH is going into town because our dishwasher is dead... we need a new one...we should have just gotten one yesterday but didn't...

you girls have a fun day
Chriss

Good morning!
I was up earlier, but this headache is killing me. Its like a migraine, but not as bad as it could get. Stress maybe? Change in weather? If I take my migraine meds it goes away then my stomach starts rolling....eh.

We, my kiddos do scout breakfast too, they rotate with troop/den will help. This weekend its breakfast burritos. They have to make 1000 of em. I think its really good practice!

WEE, I had a lot of fun yesterday! I'd forgotten my camera so I can't wait until you post pics.

Good Morning!! It is beautiful today. Sun is shining and I can see the grass again. I'm opening windows and turned down the heat...I LOVE it!
Today might be a free day...maybe I'll get to sew.
Gosh, Viv, if I start cleaning I'll never get to the sewing part! lol! Too easily sidetracked. Sounds like your DGD is really interested in sewing..that's wonderful!
Wesig will you post pictures of your batik quilt? Love to see it!
grammie, I covet that embroidery machine!
Maryq hurry and get back here after work! Bowling...OMG. I tried that about 2 yrs. ago..hadn't bowled for YEARS. It was a hoot...my body doesn't bend at all anymore!
Bransmom have fun with that little one!
JW you amaze me! You get so much done I can't believe it! Go girl!
WeeOne I can't wait to see the photos! Be sure to identify everyone please! LOL the alligators/swamp!!! Juggling the kids and the stuff to get done is really hard once you're not used to it anymore! When my kids were home, I didn't have much of a problem, but once they were all gone and the GKs come, I can't seem to function with them underfoot! lol!
Chriss, have a great day...a new dishwasher! I've never owned one...ever! Probably a good thing though, except during the holidays when I would really love one! lol!
Gotta go. DH is walking the yard!

Happy Sunday!
I probably won't get much sewing in today. It's church this a.m. and then I have to attend a meeting with my DH this afternoon. I have TONS of things to work on. So I'll enjoy today and then really hit it tomorrow morning. It's supposed to be in the high 40s today and hopefully no rain until tomorrow. My prayers go out to all those with no power.
Keep stitching,
Susi

Hello everyone!

I haven't checked in lately but have been lurking in the background.LOL I have been so busy.

Last month it was my father's doctor's appointments (he is doing fine now), this month I have been working on my online shop. I had a couple of sales already this month but with dad being sick last month I hadn't been able to do much sewing so my shop is looking a bit neglected. I am working on a twin size quilt right now and today I hope to get the back pieced so that I can load it on my HQ and get it quilted.

Wedding news: I have cut out the muslin pattern for the bride's dress and will be doing a fitting today and see what we have to do to alter the fit if necessary. We are also planning on attending the Bridal Fair this afternoon so that should be fun. DD#2 has decided on most of the things she wants but I can see it coming at the Bridal Fair. I think by the time we get done there may be a whole new theme going.LOL

Hope everyone has a great day.

Ann

Here are a few of the blocks I have been working on. I will work more on them today. They are from the birthday block swap.

Hello all. Things are definitely looking up. I was rudely awaken from a nap last evening by the power men telling me that if we would turn the generator off, they would hook our power back up. I almost flew at him to hug his neck, but restrained myself. I had found I had internet in the afternoon, but then it was gone after I got power, so I couldn't tell anyone. Now, to get things straighten out, put away, picked up. You would not believe what every yard for miles around here looks like. A disaster, yet it really is.

Criss-here's a description of flippy corners, scroll down to after the 9 patches.

I'm done with that part now(and have DH squaring up bonus triangles for me to use in Tobbacco Road, hehe) and on to sewing triangles together to make half flying geese(side triangle on one side only) should go pretty quick, hoping to have blocks put together today.

Good Morning

Nothing exciting here. I think I finally got my quilt delimma figured out. It is harder when you know what you want but not how to get there. I finally laid the top out on the bed and stared at it for while, went and pulled up a picture on how to set side and corner triangles and that helped.

jw - you got your DH to square up triangles!!! good job

maryq - You would be an asset on a bowling team - high handicap

Ruth - I love the way you do your quilting it makes the pattern really stand out

Hi Susie hows,it going??
