Viking Sapphire 830....

Post by happymrs » Fri Feb 06, 2009 6:26 pm

Well we picked mine up this afternoon, yeah, & now it's sitting in my studio! Wow, is it bigger than my Janome Memorycraft 3000! Love it already! Going to finish my current project on my Janomi, then I will start playing with my new baby! Lots of good info come with it, so it should tell me all I need to know, & if not, I am sure some other Sapphire owners on here will happy to share what they have learned from theirs so far! Yesterday was my bd, but today we celebrated, lol, even had a lovely dinner at Red Lobster tonight! Now, I can to play with her! If I can't sleep tonight, or wake up early & can't sleep anymore, you know where I will be!

(Maybe it's good I have some tops in need of quilting, lol!)

Congratulations and Happy Birthday! You are going to have so much fun learning about your new machine. Are you going to have classes from the dealer? Manufacture web-sites are another source of wonderful information. Have fun!!

She is working fine so far, no complaints!

Trying to register my machine at the Viking site is another story though! Get to where you add the dealer info, who bought it from, & it won't let you? Have emailed the site, but no word yet, so hope they fix that problem soon!

I have a designer se and love it. It took me several tries to register it on line too. Hope you have fun with it. It's always fun and exciting getting a new baby!! Let us know how she behaves.

Did you get the Fabumotion stitch regulator too? I've been looking at the Sapphire 830 but also want the stitch regulator. I have a Viking I've had for 10 years and I love it so I'm sure I'll love the Sapphire.

Hi Sandie, no I didn't get any extras on it, but am very happy with what I got. I bought a free motion foot & a 1/4in foot & some extras bobbins & thread. I did buy the clear extension table for it & really love it!

I bought my Viking about a year ago and didn't register it. What are the advantages of registering? Do you think it's too late for me to try?
