Re: Friday 2/6 sew in time
Happy Friday everyone. I hope you all have had a great day. We are getting ready to go grab a burger & go watch 1 of the 6 yr old DGS's play Basketball on the Church team. Then they play again tomorrow morning. We will meet my parents in the morning so they will get to see their Great DGS play. LOL They are a hoot to watch. I may have already mentioned it is a mixed group of ages 6 through 9 years. Our DGS is the smallest on the team & reminds me of a flea. LOL
Grammiquilts & Traci the Lillibet's Garden is a gorgeous pattern. I think it would really be stunning on a black background done in batik brights!! I will cheer you gals on and be anxiously waiting to see your creations.
Q7 I hope your eye appt. was successful today.
Missy that is one precious baby! Just adorable.
Cindyg...You are not going to Bonnie Blue's warehouse sale????OMG! LOL
I must run. DH is waiting so can't keep him waiting too long. May try to get back in here later. We may catch a movie after the game. Who knows. You all have a great evening doing whatever you get to do or have to do.
Hugs to you ALL

Re: Friday 2/6 sew in time
I'm home! As my youngest kiddo (who doesn't like school) says....freedom!
Quiltfan- I teach literacy for 9th thru 12th grade, and am a sped teacher with a caseload as well. This term, I volunteered to co teach a few ELA classes, then the ELA teacher quit and I've been on my own. A typical day includes not going potty until 2:30 (last bell is at 2:20) and eating lunch on my way home from school! Its crazy. I teach at a really tough school, kids are always in crisis, so it can be draining. There just isn't enough of me to go around most days.
Wee- I can't wait for lunch tomorrow! I might have to skip the show tho, my middle kiddo has scouts Sat. They usually meet on Wed/Thurs, but they are working on their handyman badge and will be using powertools. And by the way, I saw your picture on another thread and I don't think you need to lose any weight.
Jameswife- what a cutie! I remember when mine were that little, but I took crappy pics because we had to take them on film and get them developed which took two weeks.
Ahhh....I'm going to make some coffee, open up some windows, yell at my kids, and plug in my iron.....heaven!

Lillibet's Garden would be really pretty in the batiks with a dark background.

Judi, you are wearing me out with all this cleaning...
James Wife... what a cutie pie that little boy is... give him a squeeze for me... just makes you want to kiss his neck....
Traci, Lillibet's Garden looks like a really pretty quilt... did you post a picture? I bet it's beautiful.
DH and I just went to town... he forgot to put the 2009 sticker on his license plate and when he was at the grocery store he got a ticket... so we went to town to have the CHP sign the ticket... it costs $108.00 for a ticket like this but now that it is signed off and his sticker is in place we have to call and see how much it really is... guess we pay for processing....
then we went to the library for the weekly book sale... they have a huge sale twice a year but every friday you can look at the books they put out...I was the big spender at $2.00. then we went to a rummage sale for the Catholic church... didn't find anything we needed there so we came home...
and that has been my big adventure for the day... we are finally getting a lot of rain, even a little hail.. our hail is about a fourth of the size of a green pea... and melts quickly.
have a fun day,
Chriss

Chriss...who makes a 16 in square up ruler? That would be cool! My biggest is 12.5, and some of the blocks I've been making are bigger than that and I have a hard time trimming them.

mommyquilts, El has one, but I didn't see it listed just now when I looked. I have it, so I know she sells them.
I finished quilting the GS's new 'Vroom' quilt. Now onto the binding!!

Re: Friday 2/6 sew in time
Thanks, everyone, I think he's cute too, but it's nice to have someone not related to him say it:) I got the first 2 blocks done for my birthday weekend quilt(wanted to do test blocks before I cut the whole thing out) They went pretty fast so I think I may actually be able to finish it before my dad comes up on the 19th(the quilt is for him) Here's a pic:

It's from a book called Twosey-Foursey Quilts, the first one I'll do from that book. I'm really excited about it, and there's some corners on it that I can double stitch for HST's for my Tobbacco Road quilt. Yay! (just don't tell DH I'm working on 2 at once:))
Again with the spelling! I need a spell checker:)
