Grammie and Mequilter......niether are the Chargers!

I like the Steelers, always have, but the Cardinals are in the playoffs for the first time since, I think they said "1947", so would like them to go all the way. And like ctherrie mentioned, Kurt Warner is very easy on the eyes. LOL

Either way it should be a very fun game to watch! (Easy for me to say since my Chargers aren't there).
Have Fun,

Hi all, I am not a football fan but just wanted to tell you my DH worked as a security guard last year in the Super Bowl in Phx. He loved every min of it. He got to meet some of the players, the tv announcers, etc. He was there for 3 wks before the game to "guard" the equipment trucks etc as they came in and set up for the big day. He started having a lot of foot and leg problems so they switched him to guarding a door at the stadium as officials and others came and went.

He got into trouble one day for not letting in THEE Head Man over all the super bowl but the guy didn't have his credentials on him and DH was just doing his job. They called head security people to clear him and later told my DH thanks for doing his job right. They tried not to laugh but it was funny.

On Super Bowl day he was at a gate "wanding" folks who set off the security buzzers. He met a lot of movie stars, VIP, etc at that gate and had a great time. At the end of the game he was in the group of security guards who ran onto the field to separate the crowd as they entered with the trophy. He was standing in the endzone as the game ended. What a thrill for him!!!

He came home exhausted and couldn't even walk the next day but his job was over anyway. He ended up with stress fractures in both feet from running to the stadium and out onto the field. It was worth it for the memories. If we were back in AZ this winter, he would probably go again, pain and all. (He is still recovering from a badly broken leg this last July)

Anyway good luck to everyone involved. Just wanted to give you a little insight into being there as a fan and as a secruity guard. Enjoy the Super Bowl and pray for those who make it all possible. They really work hard to bring you all that on game day.

Hugs across the miles, Shirley Mae

LET'S GO STEELERS!

And prayers for all the players and everyone else involved in the game. May this be an injury-free superbowl!
