Oh dang! I counted wrong...I need 18 turkeys...made 12. ugh. Ya know, by the time I get this finished I will be a turkey expert. Hmm...might need to go shopping for some more orange...I guess that's not a bad thing.

Qnewby, maybe today is an ironing/cutting day? I get those too, and I spend more time ripping seams than sewing.

Grammiequilts - It sounds like fun being with your family. I agree, we do have faith in Eleanor! All of us will find out next month what the quilt will look like though. I don't think we have very long to wait. Have you seen Littlebit's block? It is wonderful!! Look in Swaps under the BOM Alina started.

Morning ladies!

Can I say I am totally spoiled having 3 bathrooms at home, we are all trying to get ready in the hotel room and with one bath it is slow going.

Mike's dad is doing lots better they are moving him to a regular room from the CCU today and he should be going home later in the week.

We will be headed out of CA Monday morning right after a time back to QIAD. My sweet DH said I can't leave until I at least try to meet Linda and El! He's a keeper.

well its my turn in the shower better run before I lose it :O)

good luck Carin tomorrow... hope you get to meet Linda and/or El....

Judi, there are no points in a hersheys kiss if you have been jumping up and down ranting and raving about how this darn block wont sew up right...

you girls are right, Michelle's block is great isn't it... I love that the door opens and the cows peek out...she is so darn clever...

well, break is over.... guess I need to sew a little...

I should have gone back to bed when I got home from church. Started to do a LOT of laundry. Went down to play musical machines (washer to dryer, fill washer again) and found out I hadn't closed the lid on the washer. When I finally did make the switch, got upstairs and realized I forgot to turn the dryer on. One of those days.

Had dinner all planned and DH decided he wanted pancakes and bacon. OK, a little more time consuming that origanal plan, but workable.

We're having just a light, fluffy snow right now, but tomorrow night we may get hit. However, they've said that several times so far this winter and it hasn't happened yet.

Joanne, saw Dee's post last night. She'll love it as much as we do.

Must be off to get bacon out of freezer. May go ahead and mix batter so I won't feel rushed later.

Good afternoon to all.......it's still cold here but the sun is shining! Not sure what I'll be working on this afternoon but it's so cozy down here today. I'm going to put a beef roast in the pan with potatoes & carrots & onions & let it cook till dinnertime. Maybe I'll get out some of my swap blocks & actually put on of those together? I think I only have four or five that need to be assembled.

Taking a little break..need more coffee!

Got the Bed of Roses quilt quilted, but I ain't going to show a close up of it... I tried free motion on the whole thing and it looks okay, but not thing I'd Show El.... She'd laugh and cry at the same time. Just have to stitch the borders then put the binding on. Am determined to finish it today, so I can stitch the binding down by hand while I watch TV tonite.

Also have the valentine runner done, just have to pin it together--it's laid out on my living room floor right now. Next break I'm going to get it pinned nice and tight, then just free motion some hearts on it! Am seriously considering a short nap, but hate to waste the time when there's so much I want to get done! Sometimes when DD gets home from work, we have a little "crash time" on the couch--maybe I'll wait for her!

Oh well, back to the machine!
Sure wish I could get the DVD player in my sewing room to work, would love to watch "Mama Mia" while I sew!

maryq, I love that movie! My dad saw it on stage in Arkansas, he says it was better then:)

I haven't gotten any clothes sewn, but I did get half of the baby's quilt quilted. Then DH introduces me to Zuma. Now I can't stop playing it:) I think I'm going to be dreaming of little colored balls tonight:)
