Big Blocks...me again!!!
ok this pattern says absolute for a beginner, understand the layout and how to put together but the cutting is still my problem...it has 4 squares and 4 rows. It says to get 8 fat quarters cut 2 - 10 1/2 sq in each of the fat quarters from the remainder of 1 of the 8 cut 4 5 1/2 sq for the corners. Don't see where it tells you how to cut the blocks. It had the sashing and border instructions and the binding but just am totally confused!!! Please help me get it going. thank you ahead of time!!! Jan

Re: Big Blocks...me again!!!
As I understand it- you have 8 fat quarters. From each fat quarter-cut 2 squares-each square will measure 10 1/2 inches. That will give you 16 squares measuring 10 1/2 inches.Do you need 16 or 15 of the 10 1/2 inch squares??
From fabric left over from one of the fat quarters- you will cut 4 squares-each one measuring 5 1/2 inches. These squares are for the corners.
Hope this helps-Do you have square up rulers??
