Tuesday 20th Good Morning
Well, it's very cold here again -4, BRRRR.
Yesterday I got all the star blocks cut out and I started sewing and something seemed wrong, seemed I had to many of one of the squares sizes and sure enough I cut four times to many of one of the sqaures. The square when cut makes four units and I cut out as each made only one! It's an ok mistake cause I can use the squares in the Snail trail part of the quilt. But I hate to make mistakes.
Going to be sewing star blocks all day. I have ten out of 24 cream done and six out of 24 blues. Then I get to make 20 snail trails, which I will paper piece so that are accurate. I hope to get this top done before Linda's blocks start to arrive and I have that project to put together. I also have to put it aside a day soon and make all of February Birthday Blocks.
Well, today we have a new president. I think the children will have to watch the inauguration for school, current events and all that. Like him or not we are called to pray for those in authority over us so that is what we will do. God bless the president of these United States of America.
Have a blessed day!

Well, it's about 20 degrees here near the Nation's Capitol. I am sitting here watching it on TV. Just like Momof6quilts said you may not have voted for him but we have to give him a chance. I grew up here in Northern Virginia and have never seen anything like this. I am going to work on my quilt today and take breaks watching the inaguration events. Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning,
it is 46 here this morning but supposed to get to 69 today, tomorrow we have a chance of showers...
I had a busy granddaughter weekend, it was fun... I got my barn cut out for the BOM but am not thrilled with the colors from my stash... I don't even have a blue for the sky in the back ground.. do you believe it??? no sky colors... ugh.... I will get it sewn up this week but I really want the kit minus the chicken fabric.
hope you all have a fun day, I need to get my lunch together for work

Morning to all...........still waiting to hear from the doctor. I wouldn't mind this time off if I could actually do something but am getting caught up on needed rest. I suppose I could try to clean my room but then I'm afraid that I wouldn't remember where I put things. I'll watch some of the inauguration today but won't be glued to the tv. Hope all have a good day. ps.......mail today!! Maybe my barn block pattern will be here!

It's "1" degree outside now.

Morning , Chriss they have the chicken fabric at keepsake quilting since qiad is out of it. Glad to "see" you . We should all pray for the leaders of our country like Vicky said like them or not. I will clean up the sewing area today and get a couple of UFO's out, I don't have the courage to start my BOM untill I see the video. The pattern is cool but I want to watch first. I go to my first weight watcher weight in today and will probably stay for the short meeting. I "appear" to have lost 3 or 4 lbs the first week. (water) but it is a start . BBL

Good Morning all!
I'm heading out the door to work and then to 'oh darn' babysit for Lucas for a bit so his uncle the babysitter can go to a job interview. Prayers for a job soon would be appreciated!
Way to go on those star blocks! You've been a very busy lady!
I will be keeping our country and our new president in prayer as well. Been praying for all of them for years, lol. (Whether I voted for them or not)
Have a great day - I'll try to pop back in later!
Make it a beautiful day!

LOL Momof6 - I'm laughing at your statement "I hate to make mistakes" because I'm the same way. I hate making mistakes. Sorry you cut too many squares.
Grammiequilts - congrats on your 3 - 4 lbs. lost. My friend did weight watchers and she lost what she wanted to and kept it off for several years. She just recently started gaining weight back to now she's back to WW's.
Are y'all talking about El's BOM?
I'm at work today - ho hum!
I have to be mute about what's going on in the capitol today but I will say that I'm praying mightily that another 9-11 will not occur in our great country.

Re: Tuesday 20th Good Morning
It's around 20' here, & we have a winter wonderland outside this morning! Don't get too excited, only about an inch or so, but more could be coming. Our secondary road out front, is covered, & icy looking, so hubby is working at home for now. Just said he might go in around noon, if it melts off, or gets cleared, but I kind of doubt it. Great day to be home anyway & have the tv on, to catch some of the inaguaration. I just hope we have enough security in our country now, to keep our new pres, & his family, safe. Being the first black man & all that, I'm sure it's going to call for even more secutity, so my prayer is the whole first family can be kept safe from harm.
I don't know about anyone else, but here in the south & for some time now, we have had a pesky wevil, or moth, problem! It is so irritating & frustrating. Right now, I have my kitchen pantry almost emptied, for cleaning, once again, grrr! Getting tired of this, every time I turn around! So, if you any of have any suggestions on dealing with these little pests, please feel free to share. Our plan this time around, is pull everything out, then spray that area good, with Home Defense, let it dry good. Go through anything we are putting back, as we put it back, & go from there. Last time around, I sprinkled bay leaves all over, but that didn't get rid of them either. Had this problem downstairs once, found they were getting in the birdseed, & loving it. Now, it's up here, it seems, grr. Very frustrating, to say the least!
You all have a great day & I will check back in a bit!
Nancy.....(I need to remember to check my post, for spelling, before I post it, lol)
