Greeting from SW. Pa...It's gotten into the 30s today and we certainly do appreciate it..We had more snow this morning and it made for a tricky ride to Mass and breakfast but we did it...
DH is watching the Eagle-Cards game and doesn't look too good for the Eagles. But, you never know, might be a big turn around in the 2nd half...
Our game is on later---Steelers and the Ravens ....The Terrible Towels will be waving, no matter how cold it gets..I have a hard time watching these games, I get too nervous and have to leave the room...Or if I'm sitting there crocheting, I really mess up on the stitches....

Enjoy the rest of the day,everyone.....

GO STEELERS!

Quilter7 Thank You so much! I will learn to do this one day maybe. LOL This quilt is beautiful & one day I would love to make it but it will be awhile before I am to that level.

Isn't El a delight to talk to? I admire her for not having an inflated ego. Sure was thrilled to see the pic of you happy gals yesterday!

CaroleJ just think though...surely you will be in the new home by next Christmas. That will be so worth all of the extra planning and preperation. I agree, get it right now, whatever it takes. I am so excited for you & your family!

Hugs

Hi y'all. Went to church - had to be there at 7:30 - UGH, that's so early. Anyway, sang in both services, had lunch with friends, came home and took a 2 hr. nap, and now I'm here. I'm getting in my sewing studio in a few minutes....maybe. I don't feel like doing anything - I have the blahs. I guess the nap was too long.

I admire Momof6 doing the Shakespeare in the Park quilt. It is a gorgeous pattern, just gorgeous. Maybe someday........

Cathy - You are welcome.

I could not resist going to a fabric store today and buy some of the fabric for the BOM. I did find some chicken fabric. I think I have coordinated several colors to the fabric, however I will need to add more. (I may not be able to use everything either. We will see.

Cindyg - I feel for you getting up to get to Church at 7:30. We got to Church this morning at 6:45 for 7:00 Mass. My DH has napped, but I have resisted. I will be resting tomorrow after an eye appointment, so am trying to tough it out staying awake.

Carol... I posted an answer to your question about the BOM sizes in the original thread... the 18" block is for the queen size quilt and he 12" is for the lap quilt... each of the blocks are going to be varying sizes... I think it will be a sort of sampler style... I am hoping we will get to see the final layout next month at class... it is still a mystery to all of us! LOL! I think Eleanor did say some of the blocks are only 6.5"

Cheers!

Hi all, I just wanted to say that Shakespeare in the Park is basically just two blocks. A snails trail and a star in a star. Not really all that hard. I can not understand Judy Martins directions so I'm doing the stars the no waste way and the snails trails I'm going to draw up a paper pieced fountain. The hard part for me is picking and choosing the colors and the color placement. I'm going with all the same light color; white on cream and then a TON of different blues.

I didn't work on it at all today. We just got home from church, I let the kids choose the time to come home today. They were playing games and having a great fellowship time. I forgot my Grandmother's Flower Garden block so I just sat and talked. Relaxing.......

Have a great night,
Vicky

Home from work, fed, and pajama'ed...now I am catching up on the chatting.

Thanks for the encouragement about the house! And yes, it does need to be done right...otherwise we won't pass inspection! LOL

DH and the girls were out there today, with a couple of hired hands, doing the modifications. DD#1 is learning how to drive the mule (like a souped up golf cart); DH says she does beautifully with it. She was very proud of herself that she parked it today without any trouble. DD#2 tends to tense up and step on the gas when she gets nervous; she needs more practice! DH is going to invest some time tomorrow double checking the measurements before he starts mixing concrete!

We have Girl Scouts tomorrow, we'll be doing some yoga...should be interesting...HA! I won't be able to move on Tuesday...!!
