Re: Tuesday January 13
Good morning everyone
There are rumours of a big bright light in the sky that is supposed to show up at some point today. Hope it doesn't scare anyone LOL
I am going to check out a quilting guild tonight with a friend of mine. We have been talking about it and are finally going to do it. I am really looking forward to it.
In the meantime, I am headed for Joanne fabric today. Just can't pass up the sale and the coupons. DD wants me to make some curtains for her kitchen. She wants them pleated and I seem to remember something about a tape that you can sew to the top of the material that helps you make the pleats. I made myself a list of things I need so I don't forget anything.
mommyquilts I have a 5lb box of scraps headed your way.....
kadie wish I could send some of our rain in your direction
chriss mac salad is one of my favorties don't make it often casue I will eat the whole thing
grammiequilts sorry your kids are having a rough time
lots of colds and flu going around everyone try to stay healthy

Thank you Sandy! I'm so excited! I will let you know how my DH reacts when the package comes...lol!
Well, I feel guilty for being home two days in a row, but it might be a third. Ornery child is still not really keeping food down, but his fever is gone. He is very emotional, crying like a girl at the end of a sad movie. Normally, he would have flipped the channel and skipped the ending. Poor guy. I'm going down to snuggle with him, he asked and he NEVER asks to snuggle.

Good afternoon from dreary, cold SW. Pa...Getting to sound like a broken record, cold, cold, cold! From what I hear, we're really going to be freezing this weekend.....
I worked in the Meals on Wheels office and then did some shopping...I'm hoping I can stay home tomorrow and get something accomplished...
I just had a call from a neighbor and she told me another neighbor, a young couple, lost their baby...They had been so excited when they told us and were so looking forward to starting a family..They are very religious so I'm sure their faith will get them through this sad time....
Thinking about making chicken ala king for dinner, so I'd better get with it....
Stay warm, enjoy the rest of the day,

That is so sad! It breaks my heart when I hear about someone losing a baby.

Sounds like everybody is having a 'normal' winter here in the states. I'm a weird one and would trade this cooler weather with Kadie any day!!! The weather is one of the reasons I moved to this part of the country.
Kadie, how is your DH doing?? I think of you both often and pray things are going okay way 'down under'.

Back from first grade. Those kiddos are a blast. I stay with my DGD while she & her friends eat lunch, then went to the "jail" so they could get some popcorn. The jail is where they buy some snacks. Its a private school that is like a farm. There are goats, peacocks, pigs, geese and Larry the llama.
Well, off to cut some pillowcases if I don't go out & enjoy the hot weather. I'm with you Sharon, I would rather be hot than cold

Re: Tuesday January 13
Hi again,
I am just having my 2nd morning coffee and reading the forum while Ken is in the shower.
He is going OK, we muddle through the days, between us we get things done. He has an appointment this morning to have blood work done. Has to do this every month to make sure they know what his blood
is doing eg clotting factors etc. Giving the blood is no big deal, just getting to and from the Drs is the hard part.
But he does a lot better in the heat than the cold, winter knocks him around, so he actually ENJOYS the heat....blechhhh.
So, that is how our day is starting, our Wednesday that is...I am always one step ahead of you all! Don't forget that!!!!!!LOL!!!!!!

now mommie and grammie if I send you macaroni salad i have to send everyone some... and did you see Linda's post? there are over 17,000 members on this forum.... that's a lot of macaroni....lol.
Judi, I pray that grandbaby is doing better...you are wonderful to help with the power bill... my DH has been laid off for months and even with the unemployment insurance times are tough... especially when the heater needed to be repaired.... but God always provides, he never fails me...
Debi, what county do you travel through to see so much fog? I travel to Merced each day to work and am lucky to leave at 5am, before the fog settles in... it seems to settle around 7 or 8am... it is an awful thing fog...
Well MaryEllen, did you straighten that room of yours ? any doctor news yet?
Jacquie, good luck with the horse and the competition...
Rosie, hope you feel better soon.
gotta go eat dinner, hope you all are having a great night.
Chriss
