Sewing Machine: Skipping Stitches
If anyone has a White Quilter's Machine 1740 please help ! I am trying to free motion stitch a quilt and my machine will skip stitches. It does this with my Walking Foot and the Stipple foot. I've adjusted tensions, changed needles, threads, etc. Does anyone have a suggestion to keep this from happening? I may have to take machine to repair shop. Thanks a lot.

Good to see you 1QN.
Have you cleaned your machine lately including the bobbin area? Other than that I don't know. Looks like you will be taking your machine in. Ain't that the pits?

Have you changed the needle and if you have is it in the right way. The flat part goes to the back, and if the needle doesn't have a flat part look at the eye of the needle to tell the front from the back.
Hope this helps.

My Machine is in the shop for 2 weeks....the lady doesn't think it is a major problem so I'm glad of that. I miss my "machine" and am ready to quilt on my Cat quilt!!!
