B line quilting frame

Could anyone explain (or show in a photo) which way the roller bars should be (counterclockwise/clockwise) for the quilt top, batting, and the backing? The instructions which came with my frame are a bit confusing. Thanks

) I will be happy to help you but when I first got my frame, figuring out those poles and leaders about made me freakout, lol! PM me if you need any help, but I'll try now.-

First, I float my tops and batt! Easier

The instructions say to needle side of your machine is the back-ignore that.
Let's call the needle side the FRONT.
Standing in FRONT of the machine, the take up pole goes CLOCKWISE.
I pin the backing to the take up pole leader.
Then, I lay the batting on that as even as I can.
Then I lock my carriage by using a large clamp from Home Depot behing the wheels, so the machine can only go left and right.
I stitch all the way across the back and batt, long stitches.Any color thread.

Then I lay the top along this perfectly straight stitch so my top is prefectly straight.

Now, I use a little spray adhesive(I use 505) to stitck the top edge of my top down a bit.

Then just advance a little bit, lock your pole and QUILT! Advance and quilt until your done. I only use 2 poles and the one clostest to me is just extra support for the 3 layers. HTHs, Amie

Oasis, be aware that different brands have different instructions. My Little Gracie's take up bar rolls ccw.

I purchased a B-Line frame and have practiced qulting on a coupld of old quilts but am not doing a very good job of it. The stitches are not uniform and neat. Some are too long and I seem to break the threads quite a lot. I have a Viking Saphire 830. I dropped the feed dog and was using the "open toe free motion spring foot". Any ideas on how to make it work better?
I'm sure if I could slow down and keep my movement slow and continuous would help!
