They say sugars can cause flareups- well that explains it. Christmas did me in for sugars! I WAY over did on cookies and fudge and chocolate!

Happy New Year to all! I am enjoying just lounging around today with nothing to do. I think my hubby and me and my oldest daughter are going to the show later today. And then maybe I will do a little sewing. Have a great day all no matter what you are doing.

Hi all,

T and Vicky, I hope you both feel much better soon. Vicky, what are taking for your ulcer? They now say they are caused by a virus and some DRs here have been using antibiotics in conjunction w/ standard meds.
Am wathcing the parade, then will watch football until we have to leave for this party. I may beg off, as I'd rather watch games than socialize.
Anyway, I want to sew some later.

T, I'm jealous. You have the top down, we're frigid.
Off for more coffee.

Later,
rosie

I don't know why, but the song stuck in my head at the moment is:
"If you see me and I'm sewing, let me be! <clap clap>..." lol

Oh, gals, I did not get decent sleeps last night...<whaaaaaah!> Eldest wasn't feeling well, wanted some TLC at 2245 and again at 0310. Glad I went to bed at 2100 or I'd really be a mess...but I never got back to sleep after the 0310 assistance call.

So here I am in my jammies STILL, had some cereal around 0700, and some more coffee, which didn't help. I brushed my hair, washed my face, brushed my teeth. Can't get my eyes to focus properly. Will watch some Twilight Zone and Looney Tunes marathons, maybe try to get a nap later.

Today is one of those days I'd sew through a finger or make awful blunders if I quilt, so I'll just stay in pause mode.

Happy New Year!!!!!

We got home around 12:30 this morning after celebrating with friends at their home. Lots of goodies to eat with a glass of bubbly at midnight. I love going to their home because it is a big family style celebration. The kids were all upstairs playing the Wii, watching tv and listening to music. The older teens were playing cards and mingling with the adults downstairs, it was loads of fun.

Today I got up made some whole wheat low sugar scones and had two cups of coffee. It is now lunch time and I am not sure what there will be for lunch. I am working on a Valentine wallhanging and I want to get it quilted today so I guess I better get back to work.

rosie, you are right about the ulcers. I had a severe bout with ulcers about 5 yrs ago and the doctor put me on the usual stuff but also included anitbiotics for 30 days. I haven't had any trouble since then.

Happy New Year to all! It's snowing again (surprise, surprise!) and the wind is really picking up. We did a run to Wallyworld for necessities & then stopped for a fast lunch. Now that the cupboards & fridge are all cleaned out & restocked, I can sew!!
KHO......a bald eagle! How exciting. We had 3 deer in the yard last night & 5 turkeys this morning. With so much snow on the ground, the wildlife is really having a hard time finding food. DH shoveled a path for them & put out some cracked corn & guess they found it!! Along with the woodpecker that I'm going to box up and send to GP! (It wakes me up every morning.......ugh). But those are the pluses for living in the boonies, huh?

A very, very Happy, Healthy New Year from SW. Pa...We are having a cold, sunny day after a dusting of snow last night....
We went to early Mass and then breakfast with friends and I haven't done a whole lot of anything since....
Dinner is in the oven and sure smells good....
DH is fighting a cold so he's in his favorite chair in front of the TV...With all the bowl games on, he might never leave that chair....
I'm really enjoying myself, having a quiet day....
Enjoy your day, everyone
