Happy New Year to you all!!!

I plan to start the year off by a trip to Joann's to buy yellows for a flock of geese.

I've had my mystery illness hit again the last few days so we will see what else gets done.(something like IBS, and I have an ulcer) I gave up at 11:15 and went to bed last night. I was sewing my tattered garden blocks to get my mind off myself but then said the heck with it. If I'm sleeping I don't feel the pain. If I don't eat I'm ok as soon as I eat the pain gets bad again and last night I decided to eat supper, we had my favorite meatloaf and garlic mashed potatoes......yum. But after two hours it wasn't yum anymore.



I do have picture of the block I made yesterday on the camera now but the UBS cable wasn't recognized my the computer last night... I need my hubby to look at this morning.

It is 4:40 AM here and I still have not been able to sleep (again)
Jeff fell asleep on the couch (LOL he is suppose to watch me for possible side effects of these meds they put me on)

Soooo....<grin> I loaded our DVD player with QIAD DVD's and am having fun watching them.

Today Jeff and I were going to go take a drive with the top down, into the dessert, to see if all the rain we've had made the dessert start to bloom. I was going to pack us a nice picknick lunch. I don't know if that'll still happen with the lack of sleep Jeff and I both have had this night.

Another thing we had planned for today, for after we came back from the dessert, Jeff was going to take me out to the movies.

*Smile* If all else fails, then I'll watch QIAD DVD's today and hope to get some sewing/quilting done.

Whatever happens today, I plan to make the most of it. For sure I'll be soaking up some sunshine sitting out on our patio. I will start going to sit there with a nice cup of java around the time the sun will start to rise.

Good Morning Susanna and Vicky!
I am sooo sorry you are not feeling well! We should be able to sleep and make ourselves feel better when we cannot it is sooo miserable! Vicky and Susanna I hope you are feeling better soon!

It is foggy and 51* here this morning! I woke up very early. DH is still sleeping. I did not stay awake until midnight. I went to bed about 10:30 P.M. However I was awakened by the fireworks at midnight. The cat was not happy!!! She was so frightened and she had been shut up accidentally in another room. DH was awake and he has a way of making sure I am awake too! LOL It is okay I feel great this morning!

We saw "Bedtime Stories" last night. Too much is revealed in the previews, but it is a cute movie. After the movie we had dinner then came home early to watch a few episodes of "Leave It To Beaver". It was a quiet night and we both enjoyed.

T I hear the dessert blooms are beautiful...I would like to see that someday. If I sat on my patio today I'd be drinking ice coffee. Waiting for my SIS and DBIL to come over ...her and I are going to a FART SALE at the LQS 30% off fabric...and 50% off clearance fabric. Me and DH to went to bed about 10:30 P.M. We live in the woods so it was very quiet here. Vicky and Susanna I hope you feel better soon. For me, the kids and grandkids, will be here for lunch. So no sewing for me today.

Vicky, I sure hope you feel better soon... I too have an ulcer and just recently have decided that some spices don't set well with me... and eating too late really messes things up.

Judi, hope you have a wonderful FART... wish I could go too..... tell us everything you bought.

Q7, I want to go see Bedtime stories, I bet it is cute...

Tul, I am glad you said picnic lunch... I want to make some macaroni salad and am going to go boil some eggs now....

I was just in the quilt from the heart section and have a couple of blocks to make... check our GP's and Kittyquilt's posts.....

Good Morning & Happy New Year. It is hard to believe it is 2009. I had a hard time believing it when we hit 2000. My how time flies! I am getting ready to hit the kitchen and start cooking. My Son & I had a blast last night with my lttle 6 yr old DGS Zac. LOL He is so witty & comical he kept us in stitches laughing. Seriously & not because I am his grandma, he is quite a kid. LOL But he wore me out and we were all asleep by 11 o'clock. LOL A party gal I am not.

Vicky I am so sorry you are ill. I have IBS so I know how miserable that can be. When it flares up wiht me I go on the BRAT diet. Bananas,Rice, Applesauce & Toast for a few days and it seems to take care of it. Then I move onto a bland diet adding things daily. Not fun but better than going and having to take meds. I've learned over the years. I certainly hope you are better soon.

Hope you all have a great New Years Day doing whatever you get to do.We are taking a cooked meal out to the Rig to see my DH and let DGS see his papaw. Catch yall later.

Happy New Year to all. We stayed up till after 11-wanted to watch the ball drop-and I called the guys-and by then it was half over and-oh well, DS1 and DGD are coming over today. DIL is working. We might watch some of the rose bowl parade-or the cheyenne marathon on today. I am going to make a cheeseball soon-and I have the first load of laundry going for the new year.LOL. It's gray and windy. Ds2 and DH saw a Bald Eagle flying over our timber a short time ago. DIL has yet to see one in the wild. We may have to take her for a drive to find them. We have a good idea where they roost in the late afternoons. I am looking forward to posting my to do list in the swaps. Sandy, who missed the bald eagle

welcome 2009...wow...Cooking my beans and cleaning...I told DH i will be doing laundry all year..lol...It seems that way...lol....for the iBS Gals...they say sugars can cause flareups?....My SIL has it bad...she swells up like a ballon.....well...Have agood Day...gotta fix my cabbage and cornbeef later..................Bev:O-)
