Pattern-"Center Ice", have a ?
I'm trying to complete this quilt for my grandson and I'm not sure just how to quilt it...It has a hockey player appliqued right on the middle of the quilt..I remember someone doing or posting a quilt with a baseball player on the front but don't remember how they had quilted it....I'm at a loss, don't want to mess it up at this stage of the game....Any help will be greatly appreciated.....

How about quilting 1/4" around the image, and then straight lines radiating from the hockey player to the edge of the center.

Quilting around the image is a good idea...The pattern is called, Center Ice by Glendora's Girl. I got it from Keepsake quilting. It's in their catalogue if you'd care to take a look....

Either echo quilt around the figure all the way to the edge of the block or the radiating lines as Knitnoid said. The more dense you quilt the background, the more the hockey player will stand out.
