Yes, the gloves really do help. I saved my money and bought a pair of inexpensive garden gloves that have the rubber palms and they work great. Once you get used to using quilting gloves you won't want to do it any other way, they make it so that the fabric is so easy to handle.

I dont know about queen sized,,,UGH!!!! Maybe if I get the gloves...

That is very nice Rosie and the gloves really are great when quilting. I wouldn't quilt without them.

Very nice job Caroline.

You will be amazed at how much easier it is to move the fabric with the gloves. In the gardening department just look for cotton with the rubberized dots. They will run about $4.00.

I see the teacup I hand appliqued and I know it was thick! Sorry!! I will remind you that i used regular starch so you probably want to wash it if you have not done so already. I have yet to finish the quilt, but you have got me wanting to do so!
