Some one asked about working with MINKEE..I found these tips..
Tips For Working With Minkee
Minkee stretches crosswise but very little along the lengthwise grain (parallel to the selvedge).
Minkee fabric “sheds” when cut—keep a lint roller handy! Or, take your cut pieces out of doors and shake well before sewing.
Use a walking foot to prevent the fabric from slipping as you sew.
Use a longer than normal stitch —3.0 to 3.5mm — to keep seams from puckering.
Finger press the seams open; Minkee does not like the heat of an iron.
* “Minkee” is the name Benartex gives to the soft, knit-back fleece they produce.

Good tips, thanks for posting.
For those who have embroidery machines, check out Embroidery Online web site for Minkee pals. I made several of these for the grandkids, they love 'em. Search Minkee on the site and you will get all of them.

Grammie, I think I asked someone about working with Minkee...and for the life of me, I can't remember where that was!! Did you make some quilts and used Minkee for a backing?? Oh well, I'll never remember! lol!
This is WONDERFUL information! Just what I wanted to know! Thank you for posting.

I found it!! QIAD Linda posted pictures of her projects and I asked (and so did Littlebit) about the Minkee! WHEW! I always get nervous when I can't remember where I saw something!

This was very timely; thanks for sending it in!
Thinking about making my 85 year-old mom a shawl or wrap made of Minkee. She's thin and gets cold easily; I know she would like that ultra-silky texture!

I haven't used it yet but was thinking of using it for a quilt backing to a new baby , a friend is expecting in April. It is very soft.
