thanks for all the great wishes from yesterdya, mom is doing much better just a couple of coordination problems but she is practicing that.

Tul, I am so glad you are giving up smoking... yep, it's hard but you are tougher than those cancer sticks... and ya' know what.... they cause strokes.... don't let your kids get that phone call that says mom's in the hospital..... it ain't fun...I know you can do it.

Q-7... you go girl... way to exercise.... I am so impressed... after all this hospital stuff is over for me I will get into a routine...

Judi, thank you so much for your support, it is appreciated more than you know.

Glad Your Mom is doing better. My Mom, had a stroke 5 yrs ago..and She Smoked!..But she does ok now(she quit)...she takes plavix.....Glad Your doing good on quitting the Cigg's....I Don't Miss them............Have a good Day everyone.....I am out the door and going to a Dr's appt.....

Good morning everyone,

I am actually on here before late afternoon! I woke up so hot. I think dh turned the heater up before going to bed. Whew! I turned it down. It just should not be 85* in your bedroom, in December, in Missouri!

We are supposed to have some snow coming in pretty soon. I hope we don't get much. We have already had an inch this week. That is enough for me. LOL Actually, that is enough for the whole winter for me. LOL

I got a lot done yesterday on Christmas gifts. I hope to do the same today.

Morning. I am working today although I really thought hard about calling in because I just didn't feel well but I dragged myself in here YUCK. I have been working on piecing 2 quilts this week and hope to have them done over the weekend. I still need to piece together a purse for the weekend also. there really are not enough hours in the day anymore.

Chriss, glad your mom is doing better. I got some sewing in last night. Sitting here now with color on my hair while looking at all the posts. Need to make a Dr. appt. today. Hopefully will do some more sewing this afternoon. Have a great day all. And Happy Holidays!

Well good morning ladies! I am doing much better this morning, thank you all so much! We took Bear's remains to the vet last night, once DH got home, for cremation. It was funny, on the ride over, DH was even counting the times Bear had rode in our old VW bus, so that was kind of neat. Me, I found myself softly crying all the way back home, but I guess I had my good goodbye cry for him, as I feel alot better today.

In a bit, I am going to mess with this quilt I sandwiched, get some PressN'Seal on it, & hopefully, start quilting it. Just wish I had more room here, hate running back & forth between two rooms at opposite ends of the house, lol, oh well!

Got some meatloaf makings out & thawing for dinner later, ahh, comfort food, great food this time of year, isn't it!

The sun is shining & we should hit somewhere around 50' today, so that will be nice. Getting an itching, lol, to drive down to the little river quilt shop here, lol, so may do that when it warms up a bit more, if I don't get lost in my quilting & change my mind, that is, lol!

Hope you all have a great & thanks for caring! When I find a nice pic of Bear, I will post one for you all! I know DH has some he showed me the other day, on his laptop, so I told him he needs to share!

I feel like one of those hampsters on the wheel!! Whew!

I just finished 8 blocks for Sarah--a rush job! Last night I was hurrying to get the pieces cut and cut right into a finished Baby Bud block! Still have to sign them...
Chriss, so glad to hear your Mom is doing well!! My mother died of a massive stoke about 5 years ago. (she didn't smoke). My grandfather passed away at 87 of old age and smoked heavily for over 60 years. So go figure! Smoking is right up there with drinking and overeating. None of it helps your health.

Nancy, so sorry about the loss of your pet. That's why I don't have one, I have a hard time dealing with the loss. My son had to put his dog to sleep and on the way to the vet, he stopped at McDonald's to buy her a cheesburger (she loved them)--that was so sad, but a loving thing for him to do.
I can relate to you running back and forth between rooms!! Before we converted the upstairs into my sewing/fabric area, I would cut fabric in the cabin room, sew in the living room and my fabric was upstairs..along with all my "tools"!

Lawanna, glad you mentioned your hair! Made me remember to call for a hair cut appointment! LOL!

Got to run, I want to finish those blocks and get them in the mail today and have to go to a lunch with some ex-coworkers in about an hour!!

Hi Everyone,
Chriss - I am so glad your Mom is doing better. Thank you for the kind words. Some days are definitely more challenging to get in the exercise than others. Yesterday it was a 40 minute walk after Jeopardy with my DH. He did not want to go but I begged, then he was glad he went!

Carolyn - Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Take care of yourself, the shop hop is in only 2 days! I still have a quilt to pick up at Bear's. They have not called so maybe I will give them a call today. It should be ready.

I think I will go for my walk then do a little gardening then sew this afternoon.
