Stacked Coins

Does anyone know if there is a free pattern for Stacked Coins?? If not do you know what size the coins are supposed to be cut??

Hmm...I did a search, but couldn't find much saying how big the coins are supposed to be. I read where one person made hers 5 x 8 and another said 4 1/2" x ?. So I guess it's up to each person what you like unless you're going by a particular pattern. It looks like a fun quilt to make out of scraps. I will put it in my mental list. :)

I made one I named Chinese Coins with the stacked coins about 3 x 4 and borders between the stacks of about 5 inches. The borders were of green fish fabric - I heard that fish are good luck symbols. The coins were all scraps I had, and I made each stack a colour story. Turned out cool!
