Good Morning November 30th
Good morning everyone! I have to finish the quilting on one more quilt. Then I can bind the 2 for our grandaughters. I am frustrated with the thread or my sewing machine. The thread I am using (Coats and Clarks - machine quilting) all of a sudden started breaking. I just stopped yesterday. So hopefully today it will be better. Any ideas?

Good morning Suzette--
I use Coats & Clark too, haven't had the breaking problem. As Bev said, maybe it's the tension on your machine?!! (I'm no expert)
I am freaking out-- have a lot to get done before xmas, and realized I have something going on every weekend between now and xmas!!
Guess I better get going! I'll check in again later:)

Good morning Ladies!
I have to work on quilting my custom order and that should take up most of my day. I really need to get into my sewing room and clean it up and rearrange a few things, maybe I will have time to do some of that today also.

Suzette what kind of machine do you have???
Check for "fuzzz" and lint everywhere - my machine acts up when it gets full of lint from quilting.
It's raining here in SW Ohio - about 40 deg. We slept in until 8:30am this morning! Gonna be a lazy day I think!
I did 1/2 the binding on the baseball quilt last night--YEE HAWW! I'm not in the mood for a big project right now...I want to do lots of small stuff! I want to do the "Baby Buds" blocks for the January Lotto and block #4 for the Pick & Stitch.
Going to check the posts now...
BBL!!
Ya'll enjoy the morning,

Good morning! Its cold and gloomy here, we had snow yesterday but most has already melted.
Suzette, sometimes my thread (especially coats) catches on its own notch on the spool. Maybe try turning the spool to face the other way as you are sewing?
I'm working on houses today, finishing up the ones for the swap and putting foundations on the practice ones for a Project Linus quilt. Have a warm day!

Good Morning from snowy Minnesota! We got a light dusting last night.
Since I didn't leave the house all day yesterday, today I HAVE to get out and get groceries!!
Haven't done any Christmas shopping yet either, may have to wait until next pay day. My kids and I decided, since we're all broke, to not buy for each other this year--will be hard not to get SOMETHING for all of them, but we're just going to get together and have a PARTY!! Just am going to shop for the grandbabies this year.
After groceries tho I am coming home to sew a little. Found a cute pattern to make a little "goodie" bag for DGbabes and a gal at work with an embroidery machine made a little panel for them with the DG's names on them. Am going to do that "test" one this afternoon.
Hope y'all have a great day!

Suzette, a change in thread worked for me... I don't know if Coats is making it cheaper lately or what but mine broke one two many times... try also turning the spool over... sometimes the thread gets caught in that little gash where you are supposed to hook the thread when you finish..... also, try getting the lint out of the machine.... I feel for you girlfriend....
Mary, I like your goodie bag idea... my MIL used to do that for the holidays for her grandkids... it was cool.
Fabricgirl, don't you love those tossed 9patches? my top is all done, I bought te kit from Qiad.... all 5" charms... oh what a blessing... the only cutting is after they are sewn so you can toss them....looooooove those charms...
well, I need to think about some kind of breakfast that doesn't involve turkey and then get to sewing....
hope you gals have a fantastic day.
