Cindy after you test out the La then you will know what questions to ask...HOW MUCH? and WHEN CAN YOU DELIVER IT? LOL...you should seriously ask about show special pricing and support from the company and a dealer near you for service if needed and of course classes on your particular machine.

LOL - Grammiequilts - those are questions I already have on my list. If we do decide to get a mid-arm this year, we need to sell our B-line and Juki quilting set-up. I think my BFF needs to quilt a few more quilts on the machine we have before we jump in to getting a larger machine. She's only quilted two quilts on it. I've only quilted 4 or 5 on it myself. But she mentioned that she has made a room in her house and had extra lighting put in especially for our new quilting machine. She's probably tired of hearing me gripe about the lack of throat space on our Juki. She's been looking at them in magazines and wants to look at them at the quilt show and test drive all of them. That kind of tells me she wants to take the leap. I don't know if I can afford it!!! I would dearly love to have one so I guess if she wants to do it I'll go along - I just won't get to eat for about a year. LOL

Is Friday EVER going to get here???????????

I may try again for Paducah next year. I wanted to this year but it just didn't work out. The Houston show sounds real nice but it is quite a drive for me. You all who are going make sure to take in all the sites and enjoy. I am just counting down my time to leave work but I have to go work at Joann's tonight so no going home for me yet. I just hope tonight is better than monday. I was so ready to just walk out. We were so busy and I just thought things would never get done.

Cindy I hope one day to have a quilting machine. It will be a long time in the future but dreams are always nice. Be sure to test drive all you can.

Brenda

You ladies are getting all these wonderful machines. Are you willing to do quilting or cutting for those of us that don't have them. I would be willing to pay the going rate and I would rather have someone I sorta know do my quilting than someone whose name I picked out of a hat

Sandy, there are some people on this forum that do quilting for others. Not me. In the first place I'm not good enough to quilt for others and in the second place quilting is my hobby. As soon as I do something for someone and get paid for it, it becomes a job. I already have a 40 hr. a week job - that's enough for me. I'm sure if you put out the word that you are looking for a long-arm quilter someone here will PM you. Same with cutting.

Cindyg I know how you feel. Every time I make something really cute people start telling me I should sell them, but that puts a whole different slant on things. Suddenly everything has to be perfect, and you HAVE to make them, and you HAVE to do it in a certain amount of time to make it feasible. Sounds like pressure to me

Just popped on to say good evening. Missed last night as I went to a sit and sew at an LQS. They are having a Halloween party Fri. nite. I think I'll pin fabric all over, wear my boa and tiara and go as a stripper. I'll probably wear one of El's shirts.
Must go write some checks, it is that bad time of the month when people want their money. Darn, I want to buy more fabric.
Have to go to dentist w/ DH tomorrow to help him pick up the color of his new teeth????? I'm thinking baby blue.
Off to the desk, back later.
Rosie

Hi all...........Just got home a few minutes ago with the autograph quilt from the LQS........she did an awesome job quilting it, so off I go to bind it, finish the label & put the hanger on. The organization wants it tomorrow at noon, they'll get it but it won't be done, they'll have to return it to me! Hope everyone has a good night!

LOL Rosie you are ornery! LOL Baby Blue LOL

I don't enjoy sewing when I have been commissioned to make a quilt. Did 3 and it took all of the fun & joy out of it. I was told the basic colors and that was it. Oh & the approx. $$$ range. Now the fabric shopping was fun but the rest was not. So I won't do that anymore. If I happen to have a quilt made up & somebody wants to buy it, I'll consider it.

Carin I hope you get to feeling better soon! That stuff is running rampant in ever State it seems. Take care. Hope all of you have had a great day & will sleep well tonight.

Hugs & Love
