Re: OCT 21st...
Good morning Everyone. Bev I hope your test turns out just fine! Glad you are getting it done & out of the way. Sharon I'm sorry you are having such issues over that pump. Why can't things be simple concerning Medical & Insurance? Geesh.
Sarah I wish I was sewing today. May not get to. DH is home until tomorrow or Thursday. Thought he was going to be here for a week but not so. Sooo trying to hurry & get things done that needed a man's help on, before he does leave.
Ohhhhhh I learned a good lesson yesterday; DO NOT send DH to the PO with a pkg telling him to send it priority so it will get there soon. I couldn't gripe or say a word about it because he was so proud of himself. Grrrrr Sarah, he sent your pkg so you would get it TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cost $51 and some change but by golly it will get there quickly and it is insured. GEEEEEZZZZ *slaps my head* I about keeled over when he came back home & handed me the reciept. He was so proud. So I made a mental note to myself, "Cathy DO NOT EVER send Richard to the PO to mail off blocks. NEVER." LOL Oh my! Men! LOL
Well ladies, I hope you have a wonderful day. It is clouding up here. A strong cold front is to be here in the morning. The Weather fella said in the late morning the temp may be 58 and then start dropping through the day. So I need to get some potted plants up under the covered patio just in case it does freeze. Wonder boy, DH is changing the oil in my car then I have a couple of errands i need to run. So you gals be good and have a great day!!! WIll try to pop in later. When DH is home for such a short time, my puter time is kind of taken. I feel that I need to give him some of my time. Dang it. LOL After the PO offc thing yesterday I was ready for him to just go on back to TX to the Rig!!!!!! LOL

Good morning ladies!
Sharon, I hope all goes well for you today.
grammie, your snowman quilt sounds cute.
Suzette, hope that binding your SIL's quilt goes smoothly.
cindyg, I will see you next week. WOOHOO Can hardly wait for our quilting class and to get to do some shopping. I have 3 memory cards for my camera and need to get some extra batteries for lots of pictures. Last year Vic wore out my batteries and used up my memory card with all her stuff.
jacquie, sadiedaisy made me a thread catcher not too long ago and I have found the perfect use for it. I keep a wastebasket next to me for all the loose threads and snips of fabric so tI didn't need it for that. I use the thread catcher to keep my quilting gloves, I keep them next to my machine so they are handy whenever I need them. I machine quilt with my babylock Espire and I always know where my gloves are this way.
Lawanna, have a great day.
Sarah, I thought the same thing. It is quiet today at the sew in, I guess everyone is busy.
rosebud, enjoy that coffee.
Mawmum, have a great day
Bev, good luck with the mammogram.
I am going to do some sewing on some doll quilts. See you all later.
Ann

Cathy - ROFLMAO at your DH. $51 to send blocks??? What's funny is that he is so proud of himself - hilarious.
IowaGal - I really hope that the pump thing will be a go for you. I know you want it.
Rosebud - you are funny with your little cheerleading routine for the day.

Re: OCT 21st...
Couldn't help but to share this....lol
POWER OUTAGE DURING A MAMMOGRAM
I actually kept my mammogram appointment. I was met with, 'Hi! I'm Belinda!'
This! perky clipboard carrier smiled from ear to ear, tilted her head to one side and crooned, 'All I need you to do is step into this room right hereee, strip to the waist, thennnn slip on this gown. Everything clearrrr?'
I'm thinking, 'Belinda, try decaf. This ain't rocket science.'
Belinda skipped away to prepare the chamber of horrors.
Call me crazy, but I suspect a man invented this machine. It takes a perfectly healthy cup size of 36-B to a size 38-LONG in less than 60 seconds.
Also, girls aren't made of sugar and spice and eve ything nice....
it's Spandex. We can be stretched, pulled and twisted over a cold 4-inch piece of square glass and still pop back into shape.
With the right side finished, Belinda flipped me (literally!) to the left and said, ''mmmm. Can you stand on your tippy toes and lean in a tad so we get everything?'
Fine, I answered. I was freezing, bruised, and out of air, so why not use the remaining circulation in my legs and neck and finish me off?
My body was in a holding pattern that defied gravity (with my other boob wedged between those two 4' pieces of square glass) when we heard, then felt a zap!
Complete darkness and the power went off!
'What?' I yelled.
'Oh, maintenance is working. Bet they hit a snag.' Belinda headed for the door.
'Excuse me! You're not leaving me in this vise alone, are you?' I shouted.
Belinda kept going and said, 'Oh, you fussy puppy ... the door's wide open so you'll have the emergency hall lights. I'll be righttttt backkkk.'
Before I could shout 'N OOOO!' she disappeared.
And that's exactly how Bubba and Earl, maintenance men extraordinarine, found me, half-naked and part of me dangling from the Jaws of Life and the other part smashed between glass!
After exchanging polite 'Hi, how's it going ' type greetings, Bubba (or possibly Earl) asked, to my utter disbelief, if I knew the power was off.
Trying to disguise my hysteria, I replied with as much calmness as possible. 'Uh, yes, yes I did. Thanks.' !
'You bet, take care', Bubba replied and waved good-bye as though I'd been standing in the line at the grocery store.
Two hours later, Belinda breezes in wearing a sheepish grin and making no attempt to suppress her amusement, she said , 'Oh I am soooo sorry! The power came back on and I totally forgot a bout you! And silly me, I went to
lunch. Are we upset?'
'And that, Your Honor, is exactly how her head ended up between the clamps !!

Good morning,
It is cool and dreary here this morning. Supposed to be more rain coming in. I have just finished putting the flaps on 2 of the Sassy bags. I will try to get some pictures of them this afternoon. I already had another bag cut out, so I have been working on it this morning. I hope to quilt on Ava's quilt later too. Tonight is The Biggest Loser. I'll be parked in front of my tv with a project on my lap. LOL everyone have a great day.

Back from the La the quilts came out great but she doesn't trim or bind them so I will do that and post photos when I'm done. I am scratching the windows off my to do list today and just doing quilting stuff. And I don't feel guilty about it.
the story about the mammogram was hysterical....I hope it was a story...if it happened to you I would be really i mean really hysterical.
