luv2, You are certainly up early. DH has left for work and I am sitting here watching HGTV and trying to finish up another set of potholders.

Today is picture taking day, I am trying to put together a portfolio of my work. I want to take it to the craft sale and maybe drum up some special orders.

Good morning. It is a chilly & cloudy day here. Ann a portfolio is a great idea. Hope it will help. Are you going to include your quilts? Going to do some reorganizing in the sewing room today. Wish me luck. lol I hope you all have a great day doinf whatever you do.

Cathy, how are you today? Yes, I think I will add my quilts also, even if they are not for sale, I want to give people a good idea of the type of work I do. I am also including some items that I will custom make, Christmas stockings, quilted journal covers, quilted scrapebook covers, placemates, table runners, etc.

I already have a deposit on a quilt. The buyer picked the colors and left the fabric and quilt design up to me. I will probably be using El's, Pink Lemonade or Country lanes design, the quilt is for his mother. I am going on a fabric acquisition road trip(FART), tomorrow afternoon to pick up what I need. I love buying fabric, even if it is not for me.LOL

Good Morning...been reading all the threads i missed last night and it just figured out that because of time zones some gals come in long after I go night night....Going to cut out another christmas gift quilt today and do a tiny tiny bit of cleaning...(must protect the beauty) XXXOOO

Thank You Ann. I am okay. Really tired today. How exciting to be comissioned to do a Quilt! Hey...fabric shopping anytime is fun I think. LOL I had a similar experience once. A DH wanted me to do a quilt for his wife. Only thing he said was that it was to be Black and Pink. I was a wreck!!!! Sooooo many shades of pink out there. So we had a little chat & he had to be a bit more clear on exactly how pink and approx. shades. Men! lol Good Luck. How close are you to getting that LA? Geez it is almost 9 o'clock! I have got to get moving. Where does time go!!!!! I keep saying One more cuppa. LOL

Good morning, all...
Should be another windy, hot day here in San Diego county. Any prayers to protect us from fires will be greatly appreciated! The high winds and high temperatures are supposed to break later today; one can only hope!

I have a couple things here to goof around with today, and need to hit a fabric store later to search for fabric on a friend's behalf. Hopefully I can get an idea what to do for the boss' "grandma" quilt. Lots of ideas swirling around, but nothing has "gelled" yet. Will drag out back issues of quilting mags and see what pops out at me.

No wind here today, but the temperature is going to be higher. I plan on cleaning house a bit today and sewing. I really nee some exercise too! I will be here off an on all day. See you.
