Yes, WOW for all blocks and Yes, to wash fabric. That way we won't have a problem when we get them all together.

Oasis, your blocks are very pretty. I'm tempted, but I need to wait till after the holidays to decide if I have enough time.

Thanks everyone, the blocks are easy to make but I'm waiting to see how many I would have to make each month. Not so much the blocks even but the postage to send them is horrible now.

But that said, after the Holidays there will be more time.......but not more $$$. LOL

Sounds like a fun swap and definitely a nice quilt from it. I want to see how many blocks can be made from a FQ. I might get to do that tonight after Dancing w/Stars is over.

I like the idea of using the birthstone color for each month. This is tempting... but I have to weigh my time and $$$ commitments. I will make a sample block to see how well I can get it together. Lots of pieces, need to get consistent results.

Limiting the number of participants would help with the postage costs

Or limit the number of blocks to send, but not the number of senders. Everyone would still get a variety of blocks from everyone else, just not all of the everyone elses.

I just love this block. I have already printed it off. Made into jewel tones with the wow would be awesome. I too want to do this but join others in waiting until after the holidays to make my final decision.
