We ended up running to Subway for supper, no dishes or cleanup! I finished one corner square, three more to go. I'll be glad when it's all done & then the fun of sewing it together.

Hello....I "think" I am all done painting the walls. I got up early and I was able to paint the walls and cut in twice. I so hope that 1 primer and 2 coats of "Garden Straw" cover the blue.

Now I am finally going to sew on my Friendship Star blocks. Or should I say unsew~sew~unsew~sew!!LOL

Happy Quilting.....Kathy

Can I just tell you that "Nathans HotDogs" are totally the best and worth the extra money. I wish I could go to NYC so I could have one from the ral Nathans!

Shopped we have food in the house and so if I hear from one child "we don't have anything to eat" they are living in the backyard and eatting from the garden LOL!

I'm back,

Mequilter, the furniture is easy, by the time I remove drawers, etc. I just move the shell and then reload. However, the 4ft long rubbermaid bins filled w/ fabric are another story. The furniture that was going to the garage just made it to the porch. It can stay there and DH and I will move after he gets home.

However, my back does know I moved stuff. I have gotten a little sewing done. I am learning to use Thangles. I have to make 150 HST for the guilds mystery quilt, so this seems to be the way to go.

I think I'll go tackle the floor, then a hot bath is in order.

Ladies, if I'm not back tonight, have a good one.

Rosie

PS: When is the FART???

Good question, Rosie........I haven't heard of any actual date for the fart to the Redneck Mansion yet. Quiltnewby05 & I are doing a practice run next Saturday to a quilt show about 1 hour south of here. You know what they say, practice makes perfect. Enjoy your nice hot bath.........it's a little chilly here & I'm thinking of turning on a space heater for just a couple of minutes to take the chill out of the air. Hope to see you later!

Well gals I got no sewing done today!!! darn!!!! But I did manage to tackle a huge pile of ironing... a couple weeks worth. Got all my "tops" ironed and tomorrow I'll iron all my pants. There were tops in the pile I forgot I had it's been so long since I've ironed.

Have the table runner pinned and in my machine ready to go tomorrow. I SO want to get that done so I can send it off to BFF in Colorado!! She's going through a tough time right now. She has a DD that is 30 and has lived at home because of some health issues. Jess is gone for 2 month to a special camp for adults with her kind of issues. So BFF is having a hard time getting used to Jess being gone and not able to talk to her. They are really close, like my DD and I. I am Jess's Godmother. Kind of by proxy, because I wasn't able to be there when she was baptised, but I've always considered her my Goddaughter. We are praying that Jess comes home feeling more healthy and happy and able to move on with her life.

Since I got the lawn mowed today and trimmed a tree a little. I have these totally UGLY evergreen trees close to my house I have to get trimmed. Next spring I think I'm actually going to have to have them totally pullled out... am afraid the roots are going to cause problems with the foundation of my house. There sure are days when a little townhouse sounds nice. NO MORE YARD WORK!!

Anyway, that's been my day and now I am ready to find something for supper and park little fanny on the couch for Law & Order re-runs!

See y'all tomorrow

It's 6:30pm out here on the west coast of the USA...I am already in jammies! The girls and their dad are playing cards; Ma is watching telly, the dog is snoozing at my feet (it's at least some quieter in here!).

I wrecked my weekend off by volunteering to pick up a shift today, for someone going through a family crisis. What a day! I distributed around 150 (yes, one hundred fifty) ounces of donated breast milk. All the babies on it were running out--! Feel like I spent half the morning in the breast milk freezer...! One nurse and I got our signals crossed so at the end of the day, I had to put back 70 ounces...what a pain! I will be doing the happy dance come payday, though, with extra hours on my check.

No sewing for me tonight; I am too blasted tired! I hope I get some good sleeps...DH wants me out at the property tomorrow to assemble a SHED....HUH?! He says the pieces are all numbered, I shouldn't have any trouble figuring it out....only time will tell! Could wind up looking like a really bad piece of modern art!

CaroleJ........well, you can look at it this way. If it doesn't turn out like a shed, you'll have your first piece of yard art!! Be sure you wear some gloves while working on it, some of those pieces can be sharp!

MeQ, thank goodness I do have a good pair of gloves and.....drum roll....I even know where they are! (Hidden in the console of my car so no one can "borrow" them!). I hope to get out there fairly early tomorrow, before it gets too hot.

I can't believe I agreed to do this....what was I thinking?!
